Are we really scavenging for a new cow now that Chris-Chan is gonna be locked away?
Guess it's just as hard to forgive incompetence and laziness as much as stupidity and arrogance
Though that's still a good point.

If anything, James should just dump Screenwave and sponsors, open a Patreon, and scale back the amount of AVGN episodes he produces in a year (preferably 3 like the comments in that podcast video said) in favor of his passion projects (assuming he has time to do any of that)

I feel like that still wouldn't solve the issue. Sure we are giving him more time, but the problem as far as I can tell is that James is lazy and wants to move on from AVGN.

I don't know if premieres are a big thing on Youtube, everyone I follow almost never does this shit. But right now only 174 fanboys are waiting for the premiere. Remember that this channel has more than 3 million subscribers.

Two options here, nobody genuinely cares about this youtube feature or this podcast died before it was even born.

Literally no one wanted a podcast of James and his "band" doing a podcast. The trailer got disliked hard, and even now the actual podcast premiere is 1/3 dislikes. Gotta love how the man with no time has enough time to take a hour or 2 out of his day to do a podcast, and do shitty 80s covers with his band. Though James was so behind schedule that he can barely do AVGN?

I'd say its a mixture of both. On one hand, not many people watch YouTube livestreams and often watch them after they've ended. On the other hand, this is going to be Rental Reviews 2.0, given the presence of Screenwave slobs.

From his POV isn't this what he basically did without the middleman of Patreon?

He does much less work and basically screws around on his passion projects while Screenwave Wagies edit/write/play the games for AVGN.

Seeing the podcast setup, why didn't James just have Screenwave do all the setup, editing, and management shit and have him do the creative part instead of moving files for fifty hours in his cable den? He's clearly stuck in the early years tech wise and would benefit from that, but instead, as per that awful BTS video, he trudges forwards with his awful setup that includes tripods hanging from the ceiling.

For his complaints about "suffering" he sure made his own bed in that regard.

It's pretty surprising how 180 the discussion here went in the last two years. Guess it's just as hard to forgive incompetence and laziness as much as stupidity and arrogance (which is the features of usual cows).
It's the same situation over in the Super Best Friends thread. When the group split up, everyone was hoping we'd finally see the shackles removed. A new era of LP's and content. Instead, it's turned into a repeated shit show of "Who was the biggest cunt this week" type experience.

I know his whole shtick is being perpetually 20 years in the past, but did he really spend a week trying to copy files off his server because of a bad cable? He didn't immediately try a new one? And only recently did he get a new PC? How can James be so incompetent when it comes to his livelihood? And it sounds like just recently he started using emulators for video capture. Jesus Christ.

Most of us had an inkling that James isn't tech savvy, but that video alone drove home just how incompetent he really is, and how much Mike must have had to tardwrangle him over the years. No wonder Mike threw tantrums while dying in video games during his streams, a lot of that might have been just shit he had to bottle up from dealing with James being a retard. And now, I guess the slobs are wrangling James. I really had no clue that James was just a downright stupid person.

That explains why he seems to love his horrible sketches so much, and why he never seemed to understand that the appeal of The Nerd was that he felt like a childhood friend who just wanted to chill out and play old video games. His best work are what he considers filler episodes, and his worst are what he considers epic.

I can almost guarantee you that the new PC they built out is something James barely ever touches, and likely only knows enough to render video on it after editing it all on his Macbook. If he knows such little about computers that he thinks copying a million files all at once in parallel is a good idea, there's no way he's doing anything with that NAS server by himself.

The signs were all there. He admitted a few times that he used a mac and preferred it. That was our biggest hint that he was a idiot with tech.
