[RedLetterMedia] are famous because they only give safe opinions about pop shit. If a film is considered bad they'll say it's awful, but if something is considered great they'll say it's fine. They love to mock nerd culture, but they watch all of these films on day one to do their stupid reviews, and they are going to give the same boring and safe opinion every time.

Did that opinion take you 12 years to form?

It's a shame seeing all these 2012-2017 anti-humor losers connecting themselves to the channel when it was never about that. It was always just some guy and his childhood friends talking about movies, games, and just generally having a good time. RLM is also good, but it always feels like they have a bone to pick with people.

That said, Matei is one of my favorite cows without a thread on this site. It's always a joy seeing what autistic outburst he has on stream over a 30+ year old Nintendo game. It's good he was self-aware and got out of the Cinemassacre shit show as soon as possible.

Ghostbusters was always one of his favorite movies. That "I refuse" video will go down as one of his all time best. I remember when it came out idiotic celebrities like Patton Oswalt attacked him with no basis on Twitter. Some random /tv/ anon then replied a picture of Slimer with his recently dead wife's face on it.

The best one was with lindsey ellis thought she could take a shot at rolfe. She made a comment about making judgments about things before seeing them, and someone countered that she murdered her baby before seeing it too. Good times.
That was a time I was really proud of james.
I just want to remind everyone that James ended up in the New York Times of all things because he decided not to hate watch a movie just to be mad about it later

@ICameToBooli
Wow! James is really invested in and enthusiastic about the Rex Viper lore. I can't decide if it's endearing or worrisome.

Justin's weird (and useless) intro made me think of the following question a truther asked him via his youtube video/podcast: "You're criticized a lot for appearing in the content... What makes you compelled to continue appearing in the content when it's unpopular?"

If like myself you're visiting the Truth sub on a regular basis you are probably already familiar with these two guys:

RLM worshipped The Force Awakens. That's the only thing you need to know about them.
If by worship you mean they thought it was ok then yeah sure,

They've been shitting on Marvel movies. Dont think that's a safe opinion. Hell they made fun of Last Jedi and journalists seethed about it.

James was way better than RLM when he was still alive. When he refused to review that garbage Ghostbusters remake, he nailed it. Obviously bad films shouldn't be watched, if you know it's going to suck, why bother? In my opinion, some of the best videos James has ever made. The amount of butthurt that ensued was hilarious. You can tell it hit a nerve on the "film reviews" community.
You watch bad movies to make fun of them

Here ya go boys, your weekly suffering starring the one and only Rex Viper
I'm so tired of his fake ass instagram-like reaction pics that also looks like other retarded you tubers in their thumbnails. Reminds me of garbage video game advertisements from back in the day or that one old catalog, I think the old Sears catalog where kids are huddled around a computer and looking like they are in ecstasy because of what's going on in the screen. It's like the soy boy reaction pics of you tube videos now- so fake.

Overly emotive faces and bright colors appeal to children and teens. They now make up the largest demographic on YouTube.

Combine that with an oppressive recommendation algorithm and the "best practices" suck the life out of all content. Creative or interesting content won't generate any money.

No one is going to spend 20+ hours on a video that's only going to get a few hundred views. That's why everyone, including James, makes the lowest effort content they can get away with.

>lowest effort
So if I'm reading you right, this means these people are the remedial students in school now making you tube videos for cash. James was in special ed for like seven years, right? (I forget.)
Also good explanation.
