Agree, and it's not like the skits are bad either, i always chuckle at the skit when he is a blacksmith hammering away on his space shuttle. For fucks sake, watch the original or don't even bother.

Based on his memoirs, he seems to tard out anytime he’s faced with anything challengingI think the making of the movie was actually very stressful and truamatic for James while actually doing it, even if he's probably tried to convince himself otherwise after the fact. We've all heard the rumor (I forget where from) of him shutting down on set multiple times to the point where his friend Kevin Finn had to step in as a director.
I mean the man did invent independent filmmakingJames wanted the AVGN movie to be a thing that paves the way for independent filmmakers IIRC.
Spoony needed a tard rangler as good as James' wife. I think Scarlett probably was to some extent but as he got older he just had Skyrim rape fetishist April sitting in the next room painting dolls. It's really so surreal seeing James and Noah even being mentioned together in a thread. You can't get more of opposites in the 'funny guy on the internet' outcomes. James had a long run and is a true success by any means, way beyond what his intellect or ability would be seemingly possible. Noah lol, lost everything, everyone hates him, lost his car to repo while at a doctor visit.
Yeah James has gone off the rails pretty much, but if he gets even close to spoony level it'll be a fall unlike any since 1945.
I was talking about the timestamped bit below:I mean the man did invent independent filmmaking
Damn, 8 years ago and James was already really going bald and Spoony had dug in deep with the long-hair crazy look. What happened to that beard guy? Wasn't that alphaomegasin or something? I remember him going apeshit about the adpocalypse and then never saw of him again. Some Spoony & AVGN "collab".
Indie filmmakers will always find a way, a lack of money causes a NEED for improvisation and working creatively. James just yelled into the void.James wanted the AVGN movie to be a thing that paves the way for independent filmmakers IIRC.
Indeed it's Alphaomega, and a much skinnier Ryan at the back, one of the beefier guys with the buzzcut almost looked like Irate Gamer for a while, wich would be pure Matrix.Damn, 8 years ago and James was already really going bald and Spoony had dug in deep with the long-hair crazy look. Alphaomegasin. He would do rants in front of his game shelves. YouTube demonetized a his videos all at once around 2017-18 for the prolific amounts of swearing. He basically abandoned his channel and only puts out a video every 2 years. Looking at his channel now, he's only uploaded 10 videos since 2017. He used to post that much in a weekDamn, 8 years ago and James was already really going bald and Spoony had dug in deep with the long-hair crazy look. What happened to that beard guy? Didn’t Brad Jones do that with his movie Game Boys? He even did the animated series thing to continue the clerks homageI like the idea of doing a video game version of Clerks where it's set prominently at a Gamestop.
Wouldn't surprise me. Brad is extremely passionate with what he does. Look at the whole Jesus Bro thing.Didn’t Brad Jones do that with his movie Game Boys? He even did the animated series thing to continue the clerks homage
I checked, that’s basically what the movie was. You can’t find it here, ironically enough the first conversation is about E.T. which makes sense given its infamyWouldn't surprise me. Brad is extremely passionate with what he does. Look at the whole Jesus Bro thing.
Skid Row? You think Spoony might've ended up feeding people to killer plants?Re: Spoony
That guy is IMO mentally ill and not of the self-diagnosed autism variety. If he hadn't had a supporting family he'd be barking at the moon at midnight on Skid Row. I'm still curious what exactly Spoony has to do with AVGN.
Something i never understood, and i think some higher up on Atari debunked it as well in some interview yeeeears ago, is, instead of burying the games in the middle of the desert, they could've just erased E:T and stuck some other games on it, i mean, it was at the end of the Atari and start of the game crash but still, since retarded as hell, even if you don't want to swap tha games you could take out the chips, melt down the plastic and sell it off to get atleast some nickels back. It wasn't like Atari itself went bancrupt until the mid 90's after the Jaguar fiasco (and then they sold the trademark and all).I checked, that’s basically what the movie was. This is true. Apparently, at a particularly stressful time on location--the weather wasn't cooperating and they'd been in the Cali heat for seven and a half hours--two of the actors took James aside. They'd said something cruel to him. They said, "We're the balls on the dick."We've all heard the rumor (I forget where from) of him shutting down on set multiple times to the point where his friend Kevin Finn had to step in as a director.

But i guess i was proven wrong, as well as the former higher up at Atari that meant it was the silliest myth he ever heard regarding his company. I better re-read all my old LEVEL-magazines, a shame i got over a hundred issues to waddle through.
