Not really "random" he appeared on one ep of the podcast and I think a one off ep about movies or some stuff.

He's at least a real friend of James, so more vids with him doesn't seem too forced and there is legit chemistry

The expression means exactly that: that you're beneath everyone.
It was allegedly said by James' bus driver/tard wrangler after he had not taken the bus one day and got a ride home with his mom. The tard wranglers thought he had gone missing and did an extensive search for him. If he had gone missing, they would have been responsible. Needless to say, they were pissed when James et al. hadn't told them; and they confronted him the next day, stating "nobody tells us anything, we're the balls on the dick." (which to me, sounds like something James made up later rather than an actual conversation between a tard wrangler and a tard.) Shortly afterwards he broke a window at school, and to get away with it, he ratted on the tard wranglers

I don't know if it's a regional thing or not but in the midwest "we're the balls on the dick" is actually kind of a common phrase, mostly used in blue collar work where you'll come in one day and everything changed overnight and nobody fucking told anyone. I have no fucking idea why James got so upset over it though, it's natural to be pissed off when nobody informs you of anything and now you think that a kid supposedly in your care is missing or might have gotten kidnapped or some shit. Really it sounds like something James would have said in one of his videos at some point.

That song is one of the best things I've ever heard though and Null's headcanon about the song just makes it funnier. I just picture the music video being James walking around and trying to interact with people but they just keep saying "we're the balls on the dick" until he finally runs home, driven to insanity by an innocuous phrase and hides under his bed hoping nobody else will say it.

I just thought about this a little too much but it also could mean that people generally focus on the cock not the balls when having sex? Or just in general? I mean back in the day, not now because everyone is a degenerate freak.

It's common for children and even healthy adults to tard out and go crazy over what they sense is a direct provocation.

The thing is James is such a mediocre writer it comes across that the now middle aged adult still feels slighted that his tard wranglers were mad because he didn't inform them that he wasn't taking the bus home.

It wasn't actually that phrase he got upset over, it's just the only thing he could remember from their conversation. I think they yelled at him beforehand.
