I always liked James Rolfe as a person, and I have no problem saying that he's about the only online celebrity that I have genuine respect for.

The brevity and nonchalance with the AVGN TRGA clip is amusing, if nothing else. The derangement from ResetERA, Bluesky etc should be a dead giveaway that modern liberalism should be exterminated in the same way nazism has been, which makes their monotonous "everyone I don't like is Hitler" chanting all the more ironic.

That said, I feel their particular psychosis with James isn't solely because he indirectly dissed on tranny games. The Real Game Awards is a user-driven game awards show hosted by one of the original hosts of Screwattack, the website which used to sponsor the Angry Video Game Nerd, decided by viewer voting, leading to incredibly milquetoast takes like calling that Chinese game with the monkey man or that Korean game with women in stripper outfits the best game of the year.

During one segment, the Angry Video Game Nerd states (not reviews) the winner for the worst game of the year.

So he just presented what the worst game was it's not entirely his fault and people are still mad lol. Nobody not even the target audience cared about Dustborn and peolpe are fake if they are pretending to be mad over the fact that the obviously bad game was presented as being a bad game.

YOU DID NOT PLAY THE GAME! It had 83 people play it on steam, and more than a handful of those players did it just to record a youtube video to shit on it! RESULT: THE GAME FAILED

And he just presented the game lol he didn't have to play it in this context. Hell none of them played the game either like I said so they're pretending to be outraged because we know these people think talking about something on twitter means it is successful which is still funny because that is also untrue. Is there a reason why the nerd never does "angry' reviews for newer games? It's always stuff from 20+ years ago, often NES or SNES. I stopped watching him after his Majora's Mask one. No idea why he thinks that one is bad game.

People have usually done better reviews of newer bad games, so unless it's something like Sonic 06, he usually doesn't touch it. Last modern review he did was for a smartphone horse dating game and it's one of the worst, if not the worst episodes he's ever done.
