I believe it was him. Here's Kieran denying it was him, yet speaking in the exact same arrogant cadence as the message.Seems like it wasn't him if you read the comment chain.
I do enjoy his videos but he seems suspiciously fond of joking about playing with turds. It's even in his theme song.
Honesty the best part of the nerd bit is that it hasn't updated at all, would it be better for doing so? Yes, but being the last hold out for early 2000s internet comedy still holds some novelty and part of that is "omg poopoo can't be on tv omg"
Eh, the new shirt he wears is stupid and I don't like it.
It was very pretty for an early-ish Genesis game and the soundtrack was beautiful even if the sound effects were really harsh-sounding for some reason.I never got the appeal of Echo. It's a god damn dolphin. Who cares?
Stopped watching after 5 solid minutes of "MUH NINTENDO HOUSEHOLD". Seriously, how long was he going to dwell on that tornado?
I've never played it, but just looking at it reminded me of The Hunt for Red October(NES). Instead of a dolphin you have a submarine (obviously) but you still have narrow passageways and have to surface periodically.Ecco did fucking suck. I always defended it because muh sega household, but it really is terribly designed in almost every way. The single fun thing is the open area swimming, which is really just the intro tutorial to teach you how to go fast and jump, the rest of the game is tight tunnels that pretty much completely betray the swimming mechanics and turn them into a punishment. Only the art and concept hold up.
The demo for the dreamcast version was cool, but I bet the full game blows.
Ecco was NOT an early-ish Genesis release, it was on the border of mid/late generation. It was very pretty for an early-ish Genesis game and the soundtrack was beautiful even if the sound effects were really harsh-sounding for some reason.
I'm surprised he didn't touch more on the bizarre plot and the history of the game's creation. tl;dr: drugs. Really.
I consider all Genny games which use the "black bathroom tile" backgrounds in the box art to be pretty early. At any rate, the system came out in NA in '89, Ecco came out in 1992, and the system continued getting regular releases until '96 or so, so I think that qualifies as "early-ish."Ecco was NOT an early-ish Genesis release, it was on the border of mid/late generation.
Sound effects were pretty harsh in most US-developed Genesis titles, as the sound chip used its own sample format that devs didn’t always convert things to correctly.
