I can respect a dude who knows his limits and doesn't feel an overwhelming need to milk his minor internet celebrity for all its worth.
Agreed. That's immediately what came to my mind when first hearing about him being offered a cameo.

While it would have been awesome to have seen him in the movie, don't get me wrong, he chose family first. He literally explained that the timing of filming his cameo could have happened around the time his second kid was born. I'd say that's not a cop-out in the slightest.

I really would have been so happy for him if he had done the cameo though. He loves this stuff so much; would have been cool to have seen him in the movie.

I also wonder, since James seems to be the one who's solely taking care of the kids while April is off doing whatever, will the kids see their father as the loving, caring parent who was always there for them, and their mother as the one who couldn't give two shits about them and was always away? April making James do all the work with the kids might backfire on her if that's the case. As much as we trash talk James on here, he comes across as the kind of guy who would be an excellent father who's great with kids.

Then again we don't know what kind of shit she tells her kids. Feminists have been known to trash-talk their husbands to their kids and try to turn them against him, no matter what a good father they are.

Mike on the other hand, I bet he would be a terrible father. Childish, lazy, and at times abusive... even unintentionally.

Given how much James has relied on the crutch of "no time" and "my kids", I'm less willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this. A cameo shouldn't take more than one or two days max to shoot, and flying out and back from filming locations probably makes it a week. Unless it was scheduled during the literal week his wife went into labor and he couldn't reschedule, my guess is that it's his ADD not wanting him to commit to it.

so he wants to be with his kids more, how is that a fucking problem and why yall upset over that
There are millions of people who work 40 hours a week and still find time to spend with their kids. James works maybe 40 hours a month so hearing him whine about "no time" and "muh kids" is hard to bear for a lot of people.

It's less about wanting to be with his kids more or being a family man, but rather more towards the partnership with Screenwave as a result of that leading to the decline in quality along with the lack of communication between him and his fans.

For me, its just another puff of humblebragging with James. "I was offered a part in the KK vs Gojira movie but I turned it down cause no time" . But seriously, it just shows more or less how James' marriage life is like.

Are they both so insecure, or their marriage so fragile that you can't even just a few days away from your wife? Is his wife so unsupportive of him that she can't say to him "James, I'm giving birth, but I'll be fine. You go there and chase part of your dream"

This is still her 2nd daughter's birth. she will not appreciate her father standing around like a goddamn autist outside the operating room for hours.

Just look at Raul Julia. When he was dying he didn't spend his remaining time with his family. He starred in a kids' movie Street Fighter so his kids will appreciate it because his son loved Street Fighter.

Looks like we're getting a full return for Monster Madness.

The bad news is that James is barely writing any of the reviews. It's going to be the Screenwave crew that's going to do them.

Monster Madness was one of the few things I liked about James' work. But I'm not interested in him reading a script written by someone I've never heard of before.

This shit went full moneys paw or a deal with the devil if you will.
Everybody wants James to keep doing Monster Madness because its something he is well informed about and has passion for, but were gonna let these cock goblins run the show.

Lol, I'm just leaving this shit here:

James is retired and he doesn't give a shit. He even refused to star in a major horror movie which would grant him a lot of connections in Hollywood and possibly even a producer for his next short film. He obviously gave up on life right now.

His lack of ambition is astounding and sad.

You guys need to understand; the fucker is 40 and looks the way he does. There's no Hollywood future for him and he's not delusional enough to think there would be. I'm sure a cameo somewhere would be neat but lets not sit here and think he's pissing away golden opportunity "over nothing". Dude is smack dab into middle age with responsibility now. If he wasn't gonna parlay his YouTube fame into something substantial in 2011 or 2012, it ain't happening now.
