Welp, so much for that LSD prediction, eh @deeman? To be fair, it is an episode that takes place in Vegas, so I do suppose it makes sense to review Vegas games. Here's to me hoping this episode won't be that bad.

Doug Walker dressed up like Hunter S Thompson like ten years ago.

Why is James being so late with the Gonzo Journalism references?

Just saw the review. It was another episode I would call "alright". It kind of reminds me of the Christmas Carol and Grinch christmas episodes.
I made it roughly a minute in after the ad read and said out loud "This is cringe. This is just dog shit. Fuck you, James." I cringed so fucking hard at the bat joke. This might just be the worst AVGN yet.

I really liked it, but lte's tell you a little secret, ok? But for Bruno's eyes only.

I have never read the book nor seen the movie, so that's probably why i thought it was fine, seen some scenes and a documentary on Thompson, my Aussie GF gave me the book and everyone from their grandma have recommended me this movie since i'm a petty acid-lover myself. But i guess how that is with me, if it's a hype train, i miss it, i was actually pretty ninja about avoiding the Gangnam craze in the day, until stupid Ducktalez part... 7? had a reference for it. Anyhoo, for us who don't take Thompson as gospel, it was an alright episode i guess.

I liked it too, I appreciate him still willing to do something a little more ambitious than usual like that.

It's cool to see him play LSD, this is one of the very rare occasions where he talks about a game I've already played myself.

and that was also a perfect time for James to mooch off on Kauffman to a least get him a job in film making. As you know what they say, Hollywood career is built on connections. But I guess its also beneath James to do that.
I have a feeling that Kauffman is about as negative as a connection can get (as in making other big people in cinema notice you).
