It was dumb not to even ask. There are old farts on Discord, older than Megan for sure, even if most users are young. It's a pretty intuitive interface. I have neighbors in their seventies who text and stay up to date with current technology. Maybe it was just him being lazy.

I'm curious as to why Megan relented to talk to that particular sperg, and not the hundreds of spergs and ᴡᴇᴇɴs who target her. Like that faggot last year or so who was going to get a paid(?) interview but didn't come through (I forget the details.)

It's nice to hear from her although I wish that there was more substance and also to hear her voice (to me it's always a good way to tell how autistic someone is.) I also hope that she is not hit up by hundreds more faggots though due to this guy publicizing his contact with her. There's an odd subtext to a lot of the 𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚢 that goes on surrounding poor Meg; she's sort of divisive, with some people basically white-knighting her (sometimes in a creepily thirsty M'lady kind of way I think) and others attacking her. It's notable that she is already sort of on the defensive about taking advantage of Chris, the very point of controversy at hand...indicates she's not as totally aloof to the fandom as she acts like.

Personally I think she didn't and she's probably being truthful in the interview about that, and that the whole dynamic just stems from the fact that she's just weird and spergy and thus her behaviors are odd and prone to misinterpretation; she still is a bit of a spergette, from the sound of things. But really her attitude towards OPL is a bit "meh"/dismissive/minimizing which is good. But honestly there is no fucking way that she hasn't read a bunch of shit on the cwcki...I like the fact that she used the term 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧.

I wonder if the interview is a sign she is opening up a little bit. For her own sake I hope she does not go ahead and embrace her role in Christory and become a spectacle herself, but honestly I can see it happening given the fact that she's starting to speak out during this sort of neo-renaissance that the Chris-Chan fandom is having (an exceedingly faggoty renaissance it is though, though, happening long after Chris content was ever good.) People would give her such attention though! But it could only make things worse for her (worse than having shittons of front page search results? It's possible.) As a Christorian I want to see more Megan content but I don't want to see it backfire as I've always kind of had a soft spot for her and felt bad that her full name was used. So please don't[?] start making videos and trying to monetize shit or whatever. I feel like the interview may be some kind of a prelude, though. It's certainly a big change from total silence coming from her quarter.

Forced? When? Personally I don't buy into the idea that Megan was sponging off Chris to buy her shit the whole time. I just don't. It doesn't seem in character for what we know of her. I believe her in the recent interview that she was genuinely friendly with Chris (who was, we can all agree with her, much less of a freak at the time) in her own spergy way and that she didn't have a credit card, etc. and was reimbursing him. A lot of people's ire towards Megan for "manipulating Chris" comes from a narrow reading of a few emails that are written through a hazy filter of Aspergers. I don't know of any proof that it was actually the case. As for her, I don't think we have a full picture of how spergy she actually was/is and I think the answer is pretty damn spergy. She's not a lolcow and by all indicators lives a reasonably normal life, but she was/is a weird and socially inept chick.

I tend(ed) to agree, but if she's making herself more open to public view, it's also an advertisement of her goods. I'm not so sure that she's doing it with all due deliberation but I'm sure that being Chris's Megan has helped her sell a few. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen them turning up doing autistic shit here. If she comes more out of her shell the more hits her store gets as well.

Absolutely 100%. She was a sperg herself and Chris was a funny oddball turbosperg but they shared the same interests (some feigned or adapted by Chris in an attempt to get China) which is what most spergy friendships are about (see the idea in childhood development of parallel play in which small children play doing the same stuff but don't actually interact–normallt they grew out of this.) Remember Chris was weird as fuck but not necessarily completely repulsive (Mimms et al detailed weird behavior but noted he didn't smell, etc.) up until he started with the sexual harassment. Her response to that was too firmly friendzone him–not to immediately run. Because she was unironically his friend but not interested in him romantically. Of course being who he is he didn't get it, she came for CWC, etc. and fuck, I would've changed my name. But still. Initially it was legit friendship. Perhaps the only one he's ever had which makes it all the more tragic.
