The self-proclaimed "Best Nuzlocker in the World"
Jan Krüger, aka Pokemon Challenges
Jan Krüger, better known as Pokémon Challenges, is a youtuber and twitch streamer who specializes in, you guessed it, completing Pokémon challenges.
His content is centered around the so-called "Nuzlocke challenge", which involves beating the relatively easy Pokémon games by adding self-imposed rules to make them artificially harder.
Jan claims to be "the best nuzlocker in the world" in every single one of his videos intros.
Pchaltv is currently living in a city called Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, Germany. In his videos and streams he always speaks english to broadcast himself to a much wider audience. Jan's english is so good that you might not notice german is actually his first language. In the early challenge days, he claimed that he grew up in another country, being raised bilingual. He never mentioned it again and later admitted he just watched a lot of pop culture stuff in english (especially My Little Pony), and therefore learned how to talk like a native speaker.
Pre-covid, his channel was pretty small with like 1,000 views per video on average. When the pandemic hit, he introduced a new concept to optimize his strategy for gaining views and subs with the lockdown affecting most people's leisure time.
His efforts succeeded, as his Pokémon Challenges main channel has got over half-a-million subscribers as of now.
Before, he was pretty much a lone wolf, just regularly uploading his challenges split in parts, with some additional reaction and opinion videos here and there. Basically, a mixture of excessive streaming on twitch, calling himself the best nuzlocker in the world (included in every title), and trying to be buddy-buddy with other big "pokétubers" like JaidenAnimations or Alpharad, allowed his channel to prosper during the pandemic.
What separates him from other content creators in this bubble is that Jan acts like he is incredibly full of himself.
He pretends doing nuzlockes is the most important thing in the world, taking his "profession" way too serious.
His smugness and arrogance goes so far to the point of him calling his Youtube chat and comments stupid and his fans on tiktok literal scum. Yet somehow, both are some of the milder cases of megalomania on display.
2. Jan's Lolcow Tendencies
When I first stumbled upon his channel during the lockdown, I thought Jan's cockiness and him claiming to be extremely smart and self-loving was merely a character he played up as a way to attract lots of viewers. However, if you keep watching his content for long enough, you'll notice how he's sometimes unable to act like a decent human-being. Jan has a tendency to mock other content creators or pull some cringey shit on stream, even in calm and chill situations. At some opportunities, his low self-esteem really starts to show. He'll often start whining or stuttering when he feels embarrassed or insulted about something.
He claims to suffer from bipolar disorder in one tweet, self-diagnosed of course. Sometimes he totally loses it and starts to act like he's in an existential crisis out of nowhere, only to later return to casually streaming a few hours later. Jan also tends to sperg a lot, mostly about Pokémon. He enjoys hating on Gen 2 for some really dumb reasons. Probably lost against Miltank too much.
3. Jan vs. Pokemon Clover
One of the greatest highlights so far has to be Jan's meltdown over Pokémon Clover. People on Twitter were praising the fan-made game created by a certain imageboard (some may call 4-cent-garbage), that contains a lot of dark and edgy humor. Jan is a hardcore libtard and has to force his political opinions onto everything and everybody, even when shit-talking while playing a kids' game for his audience.
When he saw positive remarks about Pokémon Clover from his community, he immediately started bitching about the game being literally evil, despite Pokémon Clover making fun of basically every stereotype across the board. It contains, for example, "Vandash", a pokémon that resembles a caricature of a black person, but also has an equally offensive counterpart "Piguson", a parody of brutal and corrupt policemen depicted as pigs in a police uniform.
I wasn't aware of this incident until I searched for "pchaltv" on the farms, discovering a fellow kiwi had exemplarily archived the gauntlet, because, you guessed right, Jan deleted fucking everything afterwards.
You can witness the whole drama in this post:
Twitter user angry that a mod made by website known for racial humor and is politically incorrect has racial humor and is politically incorrect.

pChalTV or PChal is a Twitch partner who streams to a few hundred people playing Pokemon games, so he probably believes he's some sort of authority on the realm of playing JRPGs for children.

Anyway, back to the crying. I especially don't understand this response.

He seems to believe that calling the mod exactly what it's meant to be is some sort of takedown that the creators weren't anticipating.
The Streisand Effect is in full force, though. Apparently the mod is actually pretty good in terms of gameplay (as far as an early GBA Pokemon game can go, at least).

This oaf is also trying to attack anybody who so much as gently dissents in the replies, and it's only causing him to be mocked even more. He's that special, one-in-a-thousand kind of stupid where he's self righteous and indignant enough to respond to every single little reply.

To this day, you're not allowed to even mention Pokémon Clover in Twitch chat, otherwise Jan will permanban you.
I'm here for the lulz, but it's absolutely ridiculous to hear Jan blame an edgy fan game as being some kind of gateway to becoming a hardcore racist. If his audience is so young and impressionable, the guy should have try and set a better example by not being such a self-centered prick who over-compensates for his low self esteem with forced sex jokes, insults thrown at others, and total spergouts on stream. The man earns his money through playing kids games, and yet he literally displays his Twitch channel as being directed toward adult audiences due to swearing and
4. Emerald Kaizo and minor Youtube beef
Jan's magnum opus has been his successful attempt in Nuzlocking Pokémon Emerald Kaizo, an extremely difficult romhack based on the original Pokémon Emerald game. He wasn't able to beat it before attempt 151 (yes, really). I'd say he did often intentionally lose for content, like a little kid purposefully acting stupid to stall before his bedtime. But when Mr. Ding Dong Games, a Nuzlocker from Italy who lives in the UK and actually plays better than Jan, succeeded to beat the game before Jan did, Jan bitched out and sent his personal army of Kiddie fans to flood the Italian's comments section with plenty of hate and insults.
Antonio (Mr. Ding Dong's real name) even pinned his statement to this incident in the comments below, taking on the shitstorm like the chad he is:
Later, Mr. Ding Dong did a face reveal that showed him as being rather good-looking. He got a ton of positive feedback like, "You may not be the bestest nuzlocker in the world but you are a chad, unlike the basement dweller Jan".
When Jan caught wind of this by the scout division of his personal army, he pouted and sheepishly grinned, swallowing his anger to remain untouched, though everybody less autistic than Chris-chan knew he was incredibly insecure about it.
Jan had to whine about how incredibly difficult Emerald Kaizo was in those two videos that last over one hour each.
I had to split the 2nd one because the file was too big.

Part 2
5. Interacting with other streamers
It's been very obvious that Jan always wants the attention of big streamers, like a shy momma's boy in middle school who feels the need to befriend the cool kids in order to inflate his own self-worth. First, he always teased Ludlocke that he was so much better in Pokémon than him and did reactions to his stuff, up until Ludwig finally took notice. He has this whole "notice me senpai" thing going on, like this:
When Wolfey Glicke (a competitive pokemon champion) got really big, Jan started sucking his cock here and there. They became best bros, and because the Internet is the ideal place for pricks like Jan to act out and still get what they want, most people seemed to ignore or not be aware of just how odd and even unbearable he can get on multiple occasions.
On the other hand, nuzlockers who are not big enough like Mr. Ding Dong Games (near 30k subs) are not worth mentioning at all, according to the best Nuzlocker in the world's high standards.
6. Courtship behaviorNow, enough with the initial fluff: Let's move on to the real juicy bits worth covering:
So, where do I even begin? The combination of narcissistic ambiguity between grandiosity and humility, his inferiority complex about his size and looks, his arrogance, and overall eccentric behavior all combine to make Jan misbehave when interacting with other people, especially those of the opposite gender.
The world's greatest nuzlocker is, as a strong contrast to the men he has beef with, the king of all simps.
He seems to be craving for female attention and sex all the time. Jan keeps sexualising female characters from his games,
often talks about his desires for several kinds of "gf's"
and certain sex practices and immaturely drops forced sexual innuendos here and there.
He wants to have a boyfriend-free girlfriend sitting next to him, playing the same kiddie games he does. It's likely he has little-to-no experience with the opposite gender. If you ever had a gf, you know you don't want to hang out together all the time. It's healthy to have different hobbies, unless you are an egomaniacal jerk who only wants a woman to be an accessory while playing Pokémon.
Jan has a rather questionable online relationship with the popular animation Youtuber Jaidenanimations. She also happens to play Nuzlocke challenges and Jan tends to roast her about her dumb plays. The roasting seems mostly playful, at least from his point of view, whereas Jaiden's fans feel as though Jan takes it too far. You can find a number of videos where the fans often leave a boatload of dislikes and angry comments, all the while Jan simply enjoys his role as the superior gamer and mentor.
He also did some streams accompanied by another guy and a green-haired girl back in 2020 and 2021. On these occasions, Jan acted incredibly submissive and kept simping for the girl, but she didn't seem to care for him. I've never witnessed how he acts when he's not on camera, but I'd have to assume that being friends with him irl has to be really tough. He always seems so needy, like he has to prove himself and show the people around him how much of a
When you take a look at his Twitter, you will often see him simping for random e-thots, commenting their status, or bragging about how he's such a genius of a gamer. The topic of getting laid and seeking women's validation is very important to him and he will always freak out when you tell him he would be "the bottom" of the relationship, if he ever had one.
A glorious moment in the timeline has been this two minute spergout about the pronunciation of the Pokémon "Decidueye", that culminated in this hilarious take:
The Extended version for added fun:
I'm curious to find out what kind of monstrosity lurks inside the "private" file.
Jan went so far that he did a waifu tierlist for every human female character in Pokémon.
You can see in which direction his thoughts tend to go.
He also openly admits to have a self esteem thing going on with his love for yandere stereotype characters.
Conclusion
If you dare mention Pokémon Clover or call Jan a virgin, he will go brrr and rant about it or just ban you from the Twitch chat. He also likes to randomly lash out at people he claims to be dumb just because of their different opinions on topics like politics, games or everyday life. I lost track of him since I don't watch him anymore, but when I did, the drama seemed to always be guaranteed, so I decided he has rightfully earned his spot on the farms.
