Beef had his moments. The SNES9X video was alright, even though it was basically one joke stretched out to ten minutes, and I liked his creepypasta videos. He tends to do better when he can write down what he's going to do beforehand, he's not exactly very funny or entertaining on the spot.
Some of the videos he made with guests near the end of the channel were just painful to watch, but I guess it doesn't help that SA goons in general are just clinically unfunny.

I remember he once said in a stream, dunno whether it was his or someone else's, that Retsupurae had no risk of ending, because even if he and Betus fought they could put their differences aside for the channel, and if Betus no longer wanted to do those videos he could always bring on other guests. I wish I could find that video because boy did that line age like fine wine.

I think he realized that Betus was the main draw (well that and Slowbeef for some reason fearing and castigating himself for the cat lady tards on his dead forum not worth gibbing to), since he could play to Slowbeef's more spergy nature and pull straight man or funny man as needed.

When even the joke of twitch and gaming YouTubers, DarkSydePhil, can pull in more viewers than you without someone hosting your stream. It's time to stop. Sure it might be detractors and restream watchers, but fuck man. It's still fucking pathetic to be a twitch partner, and pull in "Literal Who" numbers on a stream.

I'm on a bit of a Markiplier kick lately, and in one recent interview he expressed a bit of mild annoyance that his big project - A Heist With Markiplier, a fairly sizeable CYOA thing on YouTube - got substantially less interest and buzz than him simply getting drunk and dicking around on Minecraft. Even then we're talking millions of views.

Sometimes laziness is the way forward, ha.

I actually got turned off from watching it because he got so pushy with it when he released it at the time. It's not shocking it didn't get as many views, because that sort of shit isn't what he's known for.

A lot of times in comedy you’ll find two people who work together far better than they would alone. I don’t think it’s necessarily a matter of one of them carrying the other, but rather they bring out the better qualities in each other.

It's also cutting the work in half - you (as an individual) have to bring 50% less jokes, topics, stories, and banter to the table when working on a team of 2. Even if there's 0 chemistry, two heads are better than one in most cases.

pChalTV or PChal is a Twitch partner who streams to a few hundred people playing Pokemon games, so he probably believes he's some sort of authority on the realm of playing JRPGs for children.

He seems to believe that calling the mod exactly what it's meant to be is some sort of takedown that the creators weren't anticipating.

The Streisand Effect is in full force, though. Apparently the mod is actually pretty good in terms of gameplay (as far as an early GBA Pokemon game can go, at least).

This oaf is also trying to attack anybody who so much as gently dissents in the replies, and it's only causing him to be mocked even more. He's that special, one-in-a-thousand kind of stupid where he's self righteous and indignant enough to respond to every single little reply.

Damn, that's pretty amazing. Usually with that kind of post you'd at least see some fans trying to stick up for the guy or something, but he's already gotten near 400 replies and they are universally making fun of him.

I was going to point out how hilarious it is that he thinks people follow a youtuber with over three hundred videos of himself playing pokemon games wanting to hear his (lukewarm at best) political and social takes. But then again that's kind of a running theme in this thread.

I don't usually think about it but last time I went to Protonjon's youtube channel I saw the SA in the url and thought to myself "Oh yeah, I guess he started there." Considering how some of these other SA let's players turned out Jon seems to be in a pretty good position, just streaming on twitch and doing his thing with The Runawayguys without ranting about orange man or nazis on twitter all the time.
