Anyway, Voidburger has spent the last couple of days begging people to go vote for Boiney, with a little bit of 'muh kids in cages' thrown in. I'd archive but I'm on mobile and it's honestly not super hilarious, but there's probably a major chimpout in the pipes.

Let's pretend. The Retsu boyz are back and want to get up to their old tricks. Where do they post their videos? Youtube wouldn't allow it under it's bullying rules. If the streamed it then Twitch and Mixer probably wouldn't either. No bullying allowed. Bitchute might be the only place they could live risk free.

It’d still be Youtube, worse shit gets posted there. I’d expect to see more DMCA shit thrown at the videos, but if you’re talking old school RP they would have rolled with it in the same way Null does with legal threats. If streaming was out (and it probably would be), and Youtube did ban the channel, there’s dedicated sites for LP videos, but how they would get promoted, I have no idea, although again if you’re talking old school RP, promoting it wouldn’t really matter because we all started doing it just to have fun.

Just doing shit for fun, that is what the internet is missing now in this clean safe space corp digital world we exist in. Can't have any kind of personality on reddit as there is no functionality for that. Can't say the word suicide on Youtube. Can't make a wrong move in any social network or the rest will black ball you.

I'm not sure who they would make fun of now. There is the obvious targets like Darksydephil and the Minecraft childrens entertainers. They would probably have enough material making fun of new SA LPs to keep them going for a decade. That is if they can be bothered going through 50 pages of obscure anime adventure game screen shot LPs.

I would imagine that you would make promo videos on youtube that point to the actual location of the video in question.

It's a pretty common trick for twitch streamers currently - to do a "clean" 10-20 minutes on youtube and then direct your audience to Twitch, there's no reason you couldn't direct them anywhere else.

Metokur WAS a SA goon way back in the day, in fact I think Metokur itself was a group of goons.

When it started, Retsupurae wasnt really a thing, it was just a thread, and people were allowed to come in and post their own "riffs". it was just that Slowbeef and Diabeetus were the most popular, then Chip and Ironicus, and I think Metokur was the third biggest, another group of like 5 or 6 goons who did retsupuraes of various things, and I think on an old hard drive somewhere I have one of their videos making fun of some kid's homemade Sonic live action movie or something. There were other groups but none of them really did much because the threads eventually became kind of fanatical of the "big names" and anyone else posting their own retsupurae knock off sort of videos were ignored and drowned out.

I think the story is that Metokur broke up for some reason, posted a "goodbye" thing on their site, and "Mr Metokur" is the only one who stuck around and stuck with that handle--the rest of them became SJW types and did the apologetic "we were wrong, we're sorry" thing. I think Hbomberguy may have been in one of these groups, I do want to say Metokur. I vaguely remember him being a relatively big name in LP on SA back before like 2012 or whenever LP sort of shit started to take off big primarily on youtube.

I may have some of the details wrong, but I think that's pretty close.

It’s ironic a lot of these YouTubers always have to say sorry to jokes that no one gave a flying fuck about. By that logic? They should feel sorry that they murdered an NPC every 10 minutes
