Yeah, too many cooks situation. I’m just the type that likes to give back. The Farms has provided me with tons of entertainment from Shmorky, Chris, Dave, and Zoe Quinn for a while.

This is just my way of giving back, I don’t mind being the Farms Official Master of the Custodial Arts.

Or a janitor, if you wanna be a dick about it.

 
i cant do it, im just so busy. with games and taxes, so busy. i have literally no free time. oh is wwe on until 2am, dont mind if i do
 
Given the speed of posts on the megathread when DSP does something out-of-the ordinary stupid. Having 2 janitors would be a good idea if they were in different time zones for almost round the clock janitorial duties.

Or maybe the DSP subforum could be a punishment of sorts, take a person who avoids this subforum and give them janitor duties here.
 
If there were ever a way to track down DSP and have a guarantee that I would land in his server, I would make it my sole mission to track him down. I would humiliate him in ways that KoP would cum in his pants over.

I have no idea what’s going on. As far as I’m aware I’m the only one who really kinda volunteered. Haunter did just because nobody else was and doesn’t really want it. I just have a lot of time on my hands for now.
 
It's an impossible job for anyone who's not 100% devoted. There's like 5-10 new pages everyday in the megathread and that's when there's no drama.

I don't mind helping, but it's not something I was chomping a the bit to get at, either. @thebonesauce was altogether more straightforward about volunteering. I'll be around if any extra help's needed :)

I think much of what earned the DSP Sub-forum Supervisor role the title of "Janitor" was the flood of newbies (myself included) that arrived during the Escort Saga. Most of the fresh faces didn't care about the forum, and didn't want to learn the etiquette, and thought having their opinion catered to was their right. So neger was the object of their abuse, being accused of protecting Mystery Woman and harshly policing the discussion.

All that's cooled off for a while now, so I don't expect moderating the Sub-forum to be all that troublesome.

That is true. soapqueen had started his ambitious "Lesser Quality Posts" thread to try to divert some of the run-off and keep things readable. I imagine his decline health hampered those plans.

When I've been thinking "Supervisor", I've been thinking: "Make new threads" and "Stop in-fighting". Drama's hasn't been a big deal, I don't think, The only recent problem was/is the GreasyPickle thing. I hadn't considered diverting the daily developments. Does the Mega-thread need moderating to help people follow along?

Honest, unless something drastic happens in the coming weeks, it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna be too difficult to keep up. I’ve done the whole moderator thing on a game forum I frequented a few years back so I have a basic gist of things. Unless we get slammed with newcomers if Kat ends up leaving sooner rather than later, I would be stoked to have @Haunter and his wisdom on my side.
