So, a lot of the "sky is falling" rhetoric regarding the Debt to GDP ratio is a fucking meme.
How much debt Japan has doesn't really mean anything ? Why, you might ask ? Because Japan for decades has been one of the very top creditor nations in the world. Also, look at the country' net external assets and general cash position. Basically all of that debt is meaningless (and also almost entirely domestically owned by the way).
Japan's standing in the international arena also means that its assets overseas would never get suddenly frozen and held hostage. Even in China, where the CCP doesn't let you own land and assets, the Chinese affiliates of Japanese companies have to be these weird joint ventures. Well, given that Japan (and the US) will soon be going to war with China, even if chink niggers seize those assets, go on ahead. They lose the revenue there but that's about it.
It ain't like gold that belongs to Japan is held in any Chinese banks, which wasn't the case with Russian gold held in Europe and the US.
I think that Takaichi's plan makes sense. Sure, the Yen will remain weak for the foreseeable future, but this might be what finally convinces companies in Japan to start increasing payroll every year and account for the inflation rather than pooling all this money for employees when they retire (Japanese companies love hoarding cash).
Japan will never be like Argentina. Argentina and countries like Greece are complete shit holes with nothing to offer outside of some agricultural exports or tourism revenues.
Japan has leadership positions in so many industries and their goods and services continue to be highly valued across the world. The profits, when they come back to Japan, are converted from currencies like the Dollar to the Yen and the weaker Yen is thereby great for company balance sheets.
The Yen will never go into some kind of freefall hyperinflation because there will always be a demand for the Yen based on how many Japanese companies make shit that is highly needed or desired across the world.

The only real concern is companies potentially getting bought up by foreign capital. However in case the money is Chinese, those assets can (and will) be immediately seized when the war breaks out.

It started with OrientalPearl (White female YouTuber in Japan) doing "sensationalist" videos about graffiti and homeless people in Japan and using AI in her thumbnails to make graffiti than in reality.
Then he responded with a video where he made malicious audio/video edits to make it look like she was mocking/laughing at homeless people. In reality, her uncomfortable laughing was in response to a homeless guy offering to pay her for sex. This edit was quietly removed and comments about it deleted.
AbroadInJapan might present himself as authoritative and professional with his fancy schmancy prim proper British accent but in public comments, he comes across as a drama queen and he is adjacent to fellow Japantubers like trash taste who also platformed Hasan Piker (and received negative publicity for that).

He thinks he is hot shit because he was one of the first "White dude in Japan" creators that got YT famous and that that somehow gives him more authority to speak on Japan's state of society and makes him more authenticly japanese than the other white plebs that came after him. Japan is probably the only country on earth that does that to white people, at least in that capacity. You never see this kind of behaviour from expats in, let's say, Africa.
