SEASON 7 EPISODE 3
-Everything is terrible.
-Jazz throws a ball around with the sibs. Troon army from the mixer show up to play some kickball. The ftm troon is here too. They'll be showcased some more in this ep. Jazz waddles around the field and barely is able to move from base to base.
-Jazz points out that, at one point, he hadn't been sure if he would have ever been able to run around again after one of his revision surgeries. The ftm troon makes a big deal about running around shirtless.
-Sander rants about what an ally he is and wants to collab with the ftm troon. More tiktok shit to follow. It's annoying.
-Jazz and Grandma Horrors hang out. Grandma tells Jazz about how her parents used to shit-talk her about being fat growing up, thus perpetrating a looks-based family obsessed with appearance. You really see the roots where all this started. Christ.
-Troon and Sander hang out to film the tiktok. It's extremely awkward and fake. Sander's room is filled with pride flags. Sander is visibly condescending to the poor troon, who starts crying about being misgendered by their family.
-Sander whines about how people think he's gay lol.
-Sander brings up Hope and wants to set up a date. He whines about how shitty his dating life is. You're better off single, kiddo.
-Jazz and Jeanette hang. There's cats running around everywhere. Jazz points out what he learned about Grandma's body-shaming. Jazz is just looking to use this as a reason to not lose weight.
-Jeanette talks about how Grandma also used to make her awkward about her weight. She apparently weighs herself any time she's in the bathroom. This is literally a familial cycle of toxicity.
-Sander hooks up with Hope via skype. Super cringe with the smalltalk. Sander looks thirsty and desperate the entire time which, newsflash, is never a good way to attract anyone, troon or no. Hope is huge btw. Even on camera.
-The mood instantly changes after Sander asks Hope out. It turns from cringe to a literal hostage crisis as Sander realizes what he's gotten himself into. They're going to go ice skating.
-Jazz, grandma, Ari, and Jeanette go to a nutritionist. Nutritionist seems nice and friendly at least, even though she'll never state the real truth why Jazz is fat. Jazz gets on the scale. F U C K 239 pounds. That's a huge weight gain from the last ep btw. Basically, Jazz gained like five pounds between the filming of TWO EPISODES.
-Jazz lists out his typical food routine just for breakfast. HOLY SHIT. A large iced coffee, two donuts, two bagels with butter and cream cheese, three hash browns, four hotcakes, and an egg mcmuffin. I vomited all over my keyboard.
-Ari spills the beans that Jazz won't even eat healthy food when it's presented to him. He basically just wants junk all the time. Jeanette and Grandma are both visibly disturbed and disgusted.
-The cute nutritionist tries to get Jazz to create a food schedule. Basically, he can eat, but he needs to space his meals and portions out in a constructive manner. He has to record all his servings on a chart. Jazz has no desire to fill out anything because he's lazy and spoiled. He looks bored and noncommitted.
-There's visible snipping between Jazz and Ari. Jazz whines about how the family has no faith in him. Ari tells him to be responsible. It's very awkward and kind of icy between them.
-Dinner time. Ari and the twins are cooking. Jazz wants to sneak some pasta before dinner is ready and to drown it in butter. Ari gets FUCKING PISSED that Jazz is binging as well as eating right before dinner. They get into a legit catfight. Jazz says that Ari pretends to be quiet but is actually a bitch. The two of them basically drop the formalities of politeness and you briefly get a glimpse about what the two of them are really like together. Ari is annoyed, Jazz is whiny.
-This is actually the only time I've ever seen Ari raise her voice. Not sure if this implicates her as an actual bitch behind the scenes or rightfully done with Jazz's shit. Either way, you be the judge. I think it goes both ways. She seems to be barely tolerating Jazz in this scene though.
-Greg makes Jazz and Ari hug. Ari is DISGUSTED and it's so awkward and cringe. The air is extremely hostile between them.
-Dinner is served. Sander tells them about dating Hope. Grandpa gets based and is super weirded out. Everyone else is uncomfortable. It's gross. Jazz shills him of course.
-Buttergate 2021 is on. They shit on Jazz for putting butter all over the noodles. Ari and Jazz are hostile with each other again. Jazz whines about how this is fat-shaming.
-Sander gets ready for his date and whines about how people think he's gay. Despite his bravado, he still seems nervous.
-Jazz claims that he will start dating once he gets to college. Oh, my sweet summer child.
-Sander pats himself on the back for being such a good ally. The episode ends right as he steps into the skating rink. LOL GOOD LUCK BUDDY.
-NEXT WEEK: The troon towers over Sander like a giant, Peppermint returns and shrieks like a banshee, Sander doesn't want the girldick, Peppermint tells him to deal with it, Jeanette talks about Sander's sexlife.

Some takeaways: Jazz and Ari seemed extremely pissy around each other. It could be typical sibling rivalry but this was the first instance where I felt I saw some authentic interactions. They both seem to resent each other.

True. Me and my brother get annoyed at each other all the damn time, and we've mostly hashed out our issues from being kids and have a decent relationship. Where is his money from the show, and how are they keeping it from him now that he's an adult.

I know it's different up there in Murica, but here, Nutrition is a full medical career* and you go five years to college to become a Medical Nutritionist. Someone from my family is one and I can tell you most severe cases are related to mental issues and they have to somehow deal with those patients and help them. I think this Dietist is doing a good job, even though she isn't actually talking about the (npi) elephant in the room, either because she's another woke zombie or because she might feel it's more urgent to deal with Jazz's obsession with food. I mean, after all, she's not a psychologist.

Grandma actually said the right thing: she loves Jazz, not the body he's in.

Buttergate was funny, though. You know, there is low-calorie butter FYI.

We actually do have a division and it only adds to the pile of "These parents are incompetent" evidence.
In the US we have "Dietitians" and "Nutritionists", and the confusion is so common there are articles and stuff on how to distinguish the two. Dietitians are the ones who have certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The episode calls the dietician a nutritionist, the family calls her a nutritionist, but the woman in question explicitly calls out the fact that she's trained and registered.

I hope Ari has the wherewithal to keep any nice boys she meets away from her rapidly cycling circus fire of a family. Going no-contact is a very effective strategy for dealing with abusive narcissists with no sexual boundaries, like Jeanette.

I think if she has to take them near the family she's smart enough to tell her partner in advance to make any excuse necessary not to come or just to keep his head down and we'll be across the country in 4 years or something.

Ari could be the biggest bitch on bitch mountain but if I had to live with Jazz, and more importantly, Jeanette, I would be that way too. Sibling rivalries suck and they can turn nuclear even when an insane domineering bitch isn't the mom, this just hurts even more and they probably won't ever try to be close in the slightest once mom stops forcing them to be in one roof. While the relationship is up to Ari and Jazz, I would say that it is Jeanette's fault it got like this in the first place. Had Jazz been left alone they could still fight, but what she's done has made it so that Jazz can barely keep close to anyone anymore.

I'm just depressed for Jazz. Jazz can be a dick and be held accountable for it but there really is an uphill battle on control over Jazz's own life. The maturity has been robbed from him too so he's screwed on that part of control too.
