Cloudflare didn't react because of the large social media following, they reacted because of the media circus and because it was a transgender streamer.
Some random faggot programmer that no one cares about isn't going to get special treatment from the police. Blizzard will 100% ban the account but the chances of the person actually getting a visit from the authorities is slim to none at best.
I say this because there's plenty of instances of people with bigger followings losing their shit or posting threats like this and nothing happening.

The moderators of Asmongold's subreddit, famous for being a discussion hub for all things online drama and WoW, have gone for full damage control in deleting or locking any discussion thread about the recent involvements. In another post from earlier today they cited Kiwi Farms accusations as a reason why Pirate Software is being given such special treatment.
So the rude behavior I mentioned was the fact that people were straight up calling him a pedophile and linking to a kiwi farms thread making some really bad allegations. Along with calling him a scammer and etc. Due to the fact that every single post was getting brigaded with this info over hardcore classic world of warcraft, I figured I'd shut it down, but let people know why.

The truth is is that Soda probably didn't want to do it, he just wanted the controversy to die down. It is a very pussy footed response, but it is also them running a game on their own server at the discretion of Blizzard, and they just wanted this drama to be over and have their fun.

Being able to say "I fucked up" is pretty much one of the key qualities of being a top end raider.
When I was in a world top 100 guild basically if you did not admit to your fuckups you would get yelled at harder than if you just admit you fucked up normally getting GDP taken away or worse being benched.

Don't forget another game by Jason, Kill The Moon, that got abandoned in order to finish Heartbound.
Looks like mald has a second abandoned game: Kill The Moon (steamdb)
It has received 0 updates since 2019, but he will update the steam page occasionally, even as recent as September.
Sometime in 2020, one of his mods made a reddit post (archive) stating that development would be on hold until heartbound releases (never) as "Pirate Software is working on one thing at a time"
If that were the case maybe he should quit the minecraft plugin config streams and work on his "passion project"

I don’t know the subject of this thread. My God, he’s so fucking ugly. Probably could get himself to average if he got in shape but WoW players generally don’t do that.
I’m commenting because I watched a LOT of sodapoppin over Covid. He’s an interesting person. Weird as hell, but inspires loyalty and has many close friends. Stone cold talented businessman. Die-hard about WoW. AND a significantly—at times almost unbelievably—talented and versatile gamer. (He could play anything well. The DSP clip made real.)
My point: soda’s dropping this Pirate guy is a blow beyond just losing his guild.
