Jay and Silent Bob Reboot - Yes, that's the title of the film. Also why.

Pass. I've never been a huge Kevin Smith fan. Clerks and Dogma are the only two movies he's done I liked. I don't mind the Silent Bob character, but Jay always annoyed the fuck out of me. I knew way too many people exactly like him.

I actually really liked the message in Clerks II. It was about two middle aged guys who were just coasting at life because they felt ashamed about how running a convenience store actually made them happy. Ultimately, a simple life is all somebody needs to be happy sometimes, and fuck anyone who judges that.

It's a simple, yet effective message that I thought was pretty refreshing for a movie. Most movies for normies tend to be about "You can be anything you want if you just reach for the stars!" Clerks II was about being happy with what you have. I felt like Kevin Smith was actually trying to say something with this movie, and I think he did a good job at it.

For Clerks III ... Jesus. I don't know how they can continue the story. The second movie ended on a pretty perfect note, and I feel like making another one betrays the pretty strong ending that Clerks II had.

I haven't bothered to watch it yet but apparently they were on AEW (new wrestling promotion)'s first weekly cable show, not sure if it was in-character or not.

Has anyone seen this yet? I had no idea it was out until I started seeing it up on torrent sites. The reviews for it paint is as being mediocre.

Are they greeters at Walmart yet? Y'know because they're old.

I am guessing it is going to be "Clerks 1" but from the Owners point of view. The first movie is "This is what the idiot wage slave has to deal with." and this will hopefully be "Okay, you saw what the wage slaves go through? Now see what the shit shows Management has to deal with including Idiot Wage Slaves" with a side of "Dante has a kid.." and "They have bills because the Video Rental store does no business because..It is a fucking Video Rental store in the year 2020"

That was pretty great tbh. 😄

Doing a bottle flashback episode for the second episode was a fuckin' genius move on their part. Too bad that was the second and last episode they aired and even showed it out of order. (I believe the trial episode aired the week before or did the actually air the flashback episode first?)
