The story is insane but for Jeffery himself I don't necessarily think he is a total creep. On retrospect you can view To Catch a Predator as an incredibly ludicrous segment of Dateline NBC where you had the media being judge and jury using both law enforcement and a really questionable organization made up of lolcows themselves. It was entertaining and a lot of guys were clearly fucked up, but I don't really see that in him.

As far as we know, after 2005 he lead a very quiet life and wasn't seen/heard of again. Only until his marriage story broke out in 2018 was he relevant but even then that wasn't anything remarkable in itself. You can find any dirt bag woman who will want to date you, but being killed by one is something different. He didn't deserve to die purely on the notion that he cleaned up his act and reformed, he was a wannabe pedo that got slapped by the law. If he did it twice or continued to render everything I said moot, but TCAP was an entire beast in itself.

Yeah, he just wanted to fuck a teenage girl, otherwise perfectly normal dude.

Well, no shit, he ended up on SOR, imagine not having a quiet life after that.

Yeah, one abused child is fine, I agree.

but being killed by one is something different
How do you know he didn't OD by himself? He was probably a junkie just like his wife.

Pretty much this. I remember him saying in his TCAP appearance something about having druggie friends.
And his wife was working at a rehabilitation program. Maybe that's how they met each other. Poetic.
