New to this thread, but I've seen her around with some Tommy news. Gotta say, it's surprising and cool that even if you get your own thread, if you wind up just being a chill/nice/cool person, even you can become a valued member here.

That’s probably because it's more a matter of how you respond to the thread than actually having one. Since Jenffer turned out to be a surprisingly polite and good-hearted person, and didn't act like some smug asshole or rage when discovering her thread like most other lolcows do, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise she's a pretty well-respected member. TBH, people just need to learn to laugh at themselves every once and a while.

Art schools used to intentionally fail applicants to see how'd they react to the failure and mockery. If the applicant lived a relatively normal life after the harsh rejection, they'd let them join up the next year with a scholarship. If they became a crazy homeless extremist, the school would be glad they dodged a bullet.

They stopped this practice after the 1940s and the quality of the art community immediately went down. Still dunno why they stopped.
