Dunno about the second, but definitely the first one, same reason why Luke was there. Seems like a weird status game, collecting people like trophies which would be perfectly in line with the rest of his "look at me, Mr. Big Shot" behavior. Especially if they can give Jer some semblence of credibility, since they have done at least some somewhat legit political podcasts and newscoverage beyond just reading articles like a special needs child.

I'm aware, but the application denial is from Monday, April 20th, two days after the video was reuploaded.

Not saying there's anything relationship-wise that wasn't already known, but it provides some reference of time.

The operation was clearly Zach's in January of 2025, but by July, the work on the trademark filing seems to have been abandoned. It was just formally denied on Monday.
