The Daily Wire announced that just after 7:30 p.m. CT — roughly 12 hours after announcing the launch of Jeremy’s Chocolate — the company had already sold over 100,000 chocolate bars.


“The people asked and we answered,” Boreing said. “Thanks to Jeremy’s Chocolate, you can stop eating chocolate that hates you. Harry’s Razors hates you; Disney hates you; and now Hershey’s hates you. As long as corporations and institutions across America continue to alienate half the country, The Daily Wire will continue building alternatives. Stop giving your money to woke chocolate companies that hate you.”


The Daily Wire also published an ad for Jeremy’s Chocolate featuring Boreing and Daily Wire hosts Brett Cooper and Michael Knowles. Several Twitter users were astonished at the speed with which The Daily Wire was able to launch Jeremy’s Chocolate.


“That was fast,” journalist and podcaster Tim Pool tweeted.

I get what you're saying, but you seem to be missing the point. Yeah, it's rebranded mystery chocolate, but I don't think anyone expected more than that, their site literally shills the candy using the link ihatehersheys.com which seems to redirect to their regular site. It's not exactly subtle what is motivating people here, it's not the chocolate. Normal people are fed up and feel powerless, and don't want to keep supporting this shit.

So they spend their money on shit sold by a grifter.

This is the same damned behavior as the "Buy these itch.io shit flash games that are kinda-sorta harry potter themed instead of Hogwarts Legacy" protest a couple weeks ago. That was fucking retarded, this is fucking retarded. Except worse, because at least those shitty flash games you know probably weren't made by Chinese slaves or something, and you don't know where the fuck these griftobars come from.

Wanna protest Hersheys? Don't buy it. Go buy good chocolate. Write a letter and let Hershey know why they aren't getting your money, and a competitor is.

And you know, even if somehow people did expect more then so what? A fool and his money are soon parted. They are still funding this good anti-woke messaging, that it also happens to fill Ben's shekel bag is no skin off my back.

Whether people are trying to send a message to woke companies or are just eating overpriced generic chocolate because they're ignorant means very little to me, because the better this sells the more other companies have to take notice, especially if they're losing customers. Only we can make go woke, go broke real, it's largely a myth and cope at the moment.

If anyone buys these griftbars in lieu of buying Hershey bar, there's no hope for us as a society. Because it means they were too stupid to know that there were alternatives to Hershey before this.

Well, I'm sure anything anyone suggests is going to be decried as globohomo goyslop, because... well, whatever.

That said:

I would say your best bet for an easily-sourced milk chocolate bar that any American major grocery store should have is a Lindt bar. It's good and won't break the bank.

Other options I would suggest...

Tony’s Chocolonely, if you can find them - Whole Foods has them, probably other similarly hipster places. The packaging might make you wretch a little, it looks like a reject from the 70s, but the actual chocolate is good, and the bars are about twice as big as most others.

Aldi's house-brand chocolate (Moser-Roth) is pretty good, too, and very affordable.

Oh, I forgot... Ritter Sport bars. I love Ritter Sport bars.

$7 per 1.5oz chocolate bar? That's what, over five times the price of Hershey's, plus shipping? Hershey's marketing campaign is stupid, but fuck paying that much to pre-order chocolate bars.

hersheys choclate bars are barely chocolate.
something like 10 to 15% chocolate, the rest is milk and sugar and other stuff.
i think in some countries the minimum for something to be called chocolate is like 40% or something.
this could be an actual choclate bar worth that much.

If there was anything to be proud of in them, they would advertise it. "Responsibly sourced cocoa!" or "Made in America!" or "Genuine Swiss Chocolate!" or something. They don't even say what percentage of cocoa they are.

This means either they don't know themselves, or they don't want you to know.

They're selling the label. That's it. The chocolate is basically a free bonus.

I think the best brand of chocolate is Ritter Sport. It's an excellent product and is affordable to the average consumer.
