Decided to check up on Jerma since this thread has been dead for a bit again. He's going to be a part of some gay stream arg(?) thing hosted by ranboolive. Description from the linked video:

Starts tomorrow ish depending on where you live so if you want to see whatever the hell this is now's the time. Personally I probably will not.

This event which multiple other streamers will be apart of is called "Generation Loss" and the trailer for it seems to imply it will be tryhard analog horror cancer.

Don't know much about ranboo but their about page doesn't inspire much confidence.

Edit: Watched through the linked Jerma video a bit. He talks about it starting from :40 saying he's real excited for it and that it's been 'in the works for a while'. Judging by the earlier videos on the ranboo yt channel possibly over a year which is bizarre because the main guy behind it would have barely been out of high school. A 40 ish year old man is going to be playing a major part in this.

Edit Edit: Ranboo is pronounced "rahn-boo" at least Jerma says it that way because of course it is.

Ah fuck this guy, he's (or used to be idk) a Minecraft streamer apart of Dream's Minecraft SMP and probably the most astroturfed fag on Twitch, both his parents are higher ups in Silicon Valley and must have pulled some strings because a month after he started streaming he got noticed by one of the SMP guys which gave him a huge boost in viewers, and was invited to their server, where he immediately burnt down someone's treehouse and was established in their "lore". He then rapidly gained subs/viewers and is in the top 20 of Twitch earners in that big leak in less than a year of starting streaming. His audience is genuinely one of the worst ones I've ever seen for a content creator, if you want to see the most tumblr brain rotted, gay zoomer teenage fanbase go to his Discord server. It makes sense why Jerma is collabing with him since his fanbase is heading in that direction, and it'll only get worst from this.

I am committing the grevious sin of the double post to relay this information - I've checked out the first stream and yeah I don't know what I expected. Somehow it's underperforming even that. It's like ranboo saw the dollhouse stream, was actually inspired by it and decided to make a shittier point and click adventure version of it.



Starts out with the ranboo fag whos' wearing a glowing mask instead of his usual one for some reason. The chat indicates what he should do between a few different options. Guests are introduced 'comedically' like it's a sitcom.



But then it's also made like a reality show with slimecicle randomly talking how he feels about ranboos' chances

Another thing is when slimecicle is introduced a new room is too so I guess that's the main gimmick. Giving up here to check in later.

Yes he got popular basically overnight and a millionaire at age 17. At least Jerma has actual experience with IRL projects like with the Rumble thing. He's worked no jobs before YouTube (he really wanted to work at Taco Bell before he got huge, he of course says it after he became a millionaire) and only at his position through sheer luck and help from his parents. He also didn't defend his own parents when his fanbase randomly went ape shit and shit talked his parents for being evil Christians or some shit who didn't like the fact that he was gay, which as far as I know never happened and there's the fact that they live in the fag capital of the world ffs, why would they hate gays. (Also funny how they're the types to go on about safe spaces and love and acceptance shit, except for Christians apparently lol)

Still not seeing how any of the forced horror elements in this 'show's marketing has been relevant at all. It's just a dollhouse clone focusing more on a reality show/sitcom format without a laughtrack.

Jerma seems to be officially nearing retirement now rather than it being a hypothetical.

In the wake of that Ranboo thing he's announced that he is officially the chief creative director for Offbrand which is apparently a company ran by ugh Ludwig.
Basically says that his goal is to have a lot of involvement in others projects like what happened there in which he wrote part of it. He claims that this has been in the works for around a year.

Continuing on he of course says that it's not really going to affect streams *yet* but that he is going to be splitting his workload pretty evenly between these two roles. I'm thinking it's inevitable he is essentially done with streaming being anything he seriously does within a few years, though of course the other dollhouse-likes will be live internet shit he won't be the main attraction anymore. A few years ago I would have been a lot sadder about this but with how far his community has degraded and how he has changed its probably a better end than if he did that forever.

Him getting to sit in the director's chair and help get other people to do bigger projects than your average video game stream is probably a dream come true for him. Can't say I'm happy about an end to his stuff, but honestly, I've watched less and less over time. He's (as far as I know) not done a bunch of shady shit like grooming, so really, good for him, glad he gets a pretty good ending to all of it.

Honestly I wish Jerma the best, but looking back his appeal was being nothing like the popular streamers he now works with. Him working with those unfunny morons kinda defeats the entire purpose, kinda feels like wasted talent. Either way everything's fucked and I don't really watch him anymore, so whatever, I guess.

So a little while later and I've watched not many of his streams but they've just been boring. Mixed with a shit chat it's fairly unwatchable, nothing funny happens anymore so it's not worth watching for me. I know not every stream was funny in the past but it would be like half of the games he would play would have some kind of interest if they were trash or kinect or whatever but generic indie games are kinda boring to me. It also sucks when he does end up playing a trash game his chat cries for 30 minutes until he changes game to a generic chat pleaser that I have no interest in watching. That's if he even streams, he goes on week long or even month long "breaks" where he just lies to the chat about when he's going to stream because deep down he doesn't care about his impersonal freak community.

I also noticed how chat pretty much demand facecam for every stream and then when he does it they talk like they've just got their heroin injection for the day. He's clearly going to retire in a year or so and fair play it's just I'd rather he retired a couple years ago when things weren't as bad and the best thing we've seen since is some amateur events that weren't that interesting for me.
