I've seen a few clips popping up lately about the whole "Jerma fursuit" joke, and that's one of the saddest things for me to see when it comes to Jerma's content. That joke has always been funny to me on the sheer absurdity of it, but seeing him talk about it on recent streams, the only thing I can imagine is that there are almost definitely people out there who are legitimately getting off to the idea of Jerma in a fursuit/being a furry in general, and I just can't be entertained by it anymore.

Yeah. I liked him for the kind of grounded and down to earth humor and feel the streams had. Now it's turned into a sanctuary for the worst kinds of terminally online nutcases who are completely detached from reality. Guess we can only cope and seethe over it.

Nah, he's the one who has changed. Go back and watch an older stream from around 2018 or earlier and it's like night and day, especially with how he interacts with the chat. He's just gotten too big. Streams are best when they're in the 300-1000 viewer range. Anything more than that and it's just walls of retards spamming for attention. And I know people will say "Just don't read the chat" but if you have a streamer like Jerma that frequently interacts with them it's going to bleed into the normal content whether you like it or not. Same thing happened with Vinesauce over the years. It's sad to see, but it happens to almost all the good content creators eventually.

Well that's kind of what I meant when I said his interactions bleed into the rest of his content. He's specifically catering to that crowd. The old guard isn't his target audience anymore since 70% of the people there now are post-dollhouse zoomers that watch garbage top 10 streamers like Mizkif, xQc and Hasan. It changes the entire attitude of the stream and I see it as a balancing act where he's trying to please everyone. He still does things old fans like occasionally but for the most part he's doing stuff like you mentioned because the majority of people who watch now eat it up.
