From what I've seen of Phantom Strider he seems like a slightly autistic man who enjoys talking about cartoons. He never seemed to care about views or getting reactions, just making content he enjoyed looking back on. As much as a buzzword it is, a lot more soulful than most content creators in the field.

The fact he felt he had to make a statement about this, no matter how minor, actually says alot. He has always been incredibly placcid in the animation community, either keeping to himself or only namedropping friends.

Edit: The "anti-trans" statement from strider seems to be more about the surgery as itself than the act of being trans. Granted transphobia is always a bad look but it would be rich of Lily to now use this as a counter-point with the whole "oof" "yikes" mentality, when she has said things significantly more venomous to other groups and hidden behind the default "they hate me because i'm right" menatality

Anyway the crux of the video is that people keep saying that Pixar isn't for kids, her evidence of this behavior is 5 random screenshots of tumblr posts. Infallible, Socrates himself couldn't do better.

The video is mostly about people not understanding the complexity of Soul, in regards to Soul I've heard people say it's for kids but it has adult moments and depth, so both kids and adults can enjoy it. That's what I've heard at least.

Who besides planted asks on tumblr is saying Pixar isn't for kids? She just mockingly says that people are using Pixar's emotional depth as proof that animation can be for adults. And I ask, what's wrong with that? They're right.
I've yet to see people who aren't pearl-clutchers say that Pixar isn't for kids. She references Cell-Spex making a similar video so maybe they elaborate on it more.

At the end of the video she finds a way to tie it back to killing villains and MLP becoming too dark, we should really have a bingo card for this shit. It's become so obvious that she's the only one who's hung up on these points and she has to connect it to something big and important, because it can't just be down to taste...

Also Lily is really angry about all the thicc female characters in Pixar movies. In fairness, the joke of Elastigirl having a big ass is just because she's in her 40s and let herself go. Like that happens to women when they get older you know.

I've heard that Soul is a movie that probably doesn't really speak to kids given that it's basically a character study in existential philosophy, addressing the ennui that sets in to modern life and how your journey doesn't end when you've acehived your goals, which can leave a lot of people feeling driftless and unfulfilled. It's kind of a feeling that kids can't really really understand because they still have all their life and goals and dreams ahead of them.

Opinions that only come through an adult filter, of course; I don't know what a child's opinion on Soul is. So said, saying 'this movie tackles concepts that really speak to me as an unfulfilled young adult' is very different from 'this film isn't made for children'. Because Soul still features a fantastical world, a regular structure, and a long stint where the main character has been transformed for comedic purposes into a cat.

I guess it's more accurate to say that Pixar's movies are not aimed at children in general, but they're appropriate for families and they have something for everybody. The Incredibles is probably the clearest example, as it's a story about a man going through a midlife crisis as he's ground down under the drudgery of modern life; it's also about superheroes fighting bad guys and there's a big killer robot and a volcano lair and a plan explodes and and and--!

Pixar isn't 'for kids' in the sense that isn't just for kids (with some exceptions-- I don't think Cars brought a whole lot for the adults in the room). And I've really never seen somebody argue the extreme of either side unless they're one of Those People who assumes all animation is just meant to be consumed by children.
