"Good artist who have established themselves" are people who have clients regularly paying for comissions or work in the industry. Liliana, the fact that you (and I'm blaming you since you're the only one responding and probably the only one to edit the whole video for Mikaila to read over the script you approved) are going this far against an artist who doesn't have that kind of name or influence makes you look even worse because you're stealing business from the little guy while you're going to be keep getting paid for that video.

That image for you it's just a visual aid, but that could have taken hours for the artist to make, a labor they aren't recieving any money for. You might be used to having an art slave on Mikaila that lets you do whatever you want with her work, but that doesn't everyone else has to be that much of a doormat and they don't actually want some consideration.

If that artist had already seen their work used around without permission, already tried to contact you (I don't see you denying that happened, I'm assuming it did and you just ignored them) and that has meant nothing for their own visibility, they had every right to be pissed. You didn't had any to take images that didn't belong to you or weren't on the public domain for a section that didn't even need to be there.

Legally you broke copyright laws and got justly punished for it, just like everyone else would if they had done the same. You complaining and whining at discovering that you're not above the law makes you look literally no different than all those rich people Alaina forced to commit suicide. It's the same entitlement you pretend it's fair to kill them for.

I'm a visual artist for fun, but an overall artist for autistic reasons.

As a relatively shit artist in both fields: I would absolutely care if someone used my images without my knowing or name attached.

She's being hypocritical by claiming both "Only shit artists...are the only ones who care." and "Good artists who've established themselves..." care about actual thievery.

I would bet that a friend of the artist, or someone who just likes the artist, or someone who wanted more art from that artist, found the video and checked to see who Mikaila was ragging on. And was surprised to see that they were not credited. And maybe, like expected, they went to find the artist, and informed them that some dildo on the internet was not crediting them.

And, sure, maybe the strike was too much, but if Mikaila was in Canada, getting married, then maybe she didn't see it in time to respond to the artist.

I don't think the artist was petty or rude in the strike. It was a perfectly reasonable response to neither Mikaila nor Lily *crediting their fucking artist*.

Lily, Mikaila, and myself all need to take a lesson from the og.

Let's get this straight-- Lily doesn't know what 'fair use' is. Fair use isn't a provision where you're allowed to grab whatever you want and use it however you want. Fair use specifically applies to critique (and she was not critiquing the art) and transformative works (she was not transforming the art). She's hiding behind 'fair use' because she feels entitled to somebody's art.

News flash: you are not entitled to anybody's art.

If you are using a pfp or avatar from an artist that does not want you using their art, they are well within their rights to request that you stop using their art. If you use somebody's art in a video that they don't want to be associated with for whatever reason, it is within their rights to request removal.

If you're using it in a video that is MONETIZED, without their permission and without providing compensation, guess what? They are ABSOLUTELY within their rights to request removal and to escalate action if you refuse. There are some murkier realms about asking artist permission, but in the case of using it in a video that is being posted for profit? There's no gray area. You are not entitled to their artwork, and you sure as shit aren't entitled to use it to make money.

Why don’t you go back and add credit? Or remove the art? These are both so simple to do.

Why is Lily filing the counter response to the DMCA on your video if you don’t want her to fight your battles? You file the DMCA then and expose yourself and your info since doxxing is no big deal.

While I’m wondering and asking. Since you want critique on Poke Madhouse directed to both you and Lily.

The strike happened to her channel. She's the one getting the monetization for it. She's the one who doxed the artist. She's the one responding to the strike. She's the one who keeps insisting on escalating the situation and making empty threats. You might be on the name of the channel, Mikaila, but nobody's confused about who's running the whole show and it's obvious for anyone seeing her react to any of this.

If you want people to stop "harassing" your wife, then you step up for once and just edit the video to take out that art. Then you can uploaded again no problem. This couldn't be any more simple. You two are the only reason this issue has become bigger than it ever needed to be.

Just take out the art.

She has no self respect for her art so she assumes nobody else has it either. Liliana must have hammered well and good into her head that her art doesn't matter, so why the art of a stranger should? It's pathetic.

Wait, can Lily even file that counterclaim? While the copyright claim was on her channel the video it was done on was Mikaila's. Shouldn't Mikaila be the one to have to file it? But this is just the joys of having a shared account with your wife. She does something wrong and you both get shit.

The only thing Mikaila shares is the name. On any other single way the channel's still just Lily's, so if Mikaila does something to it then Lily's the one to respond. I don't think Mikaila even gets any kind of money from those videos. Since they're married now and Mikaila has an actual work, Lily probably thinks she doesn't need to recieve any Youtube money directly, she can just ask her the money when and if she needs it. That's going to be a horrible situation when Mikaila has to quit her job to go live with her and still has to find another one because that Youtube/Patreon's not going to be enough to sustain two people without one of them going out.

The saddest part is that I don't know if this's because Lily treats it with the mentality that's her channel and so naturally she needs to step up for it or because Mikaila's too much of a coward and lazy person to do anything herself. I'm inclined to believe it's a combination of the two.

Reminder that Liliana has done this before, has been called for this before, has reacted just as bad then as she's doing now and she hasn't learned anything since then. Some of her responses are exactly the same too, she couldn't even bother to change that. Not only she has taken art without credit and then proceded to slander the artist, she has also plagiarized TVTropes to use as her scripts. She has never had any respect for any artist, and Mikaila showing the same kind of treatment only speaks of how much of a doormat she has turned out to be.

Edit:

I was watching those videos again and realized around the 30:35 mark the narrators says "Your harassment of Inkrose which involved attempt to flood her with NSFW images", with a clarification note saying "All because Inkrose didn't think that Link should be female and didn't like certain ships, might I add." As far I understand, Inkrose was a minor when she and Liliana interacted.
