Lily and G both represent traits Lily desires (being the super ultra badass who is allowed to threaten nd kill those she doesn't like but ALSO allowing her to be the vulnerable waif to whom yhe badass has literally devoted their ife), but Violate was effectively a confession, with G playing Lily's role and Lily playing Courtney., although the two probably switched roles constantly.

Once Courtney came forward with her stories, Violate was quietly removed from the Madhouse arc links and eventually removed from Madhouse entirely (and Lily, of course, pretended the contents were completely different), all but confirming that -- whatever else you do or do not believe from her -- that story is almost certainly true.

Madhouse likely is in some way re-writing of Lily's life where she and her sister got together, beat up all the bad people who thought it was disgusting, and also Lily got her own pet in Mikaila while G/Courtney was both mad jealous and still madly in love with Lily. I won't speculate on specifics outside of Violate, but ever since Courtney entered the picture Lily has gone way harder on 'intimate sibling relationships' that all have the same dynamics of devotion.
