Y'know the funny thing about this is that I'm a lefty myself and Jerry and I tend to agree on a lot of things politically, and other things socially. That's why I haven't found myself criticizing his actual social or political views as of late, and focusing on his media takes

And I'm not just saying that, either, I could go on about the causes I support, views I hold, and creators I enjoy that people would consider left-wing or "far-left", but how about I leave it at this; Hbomberguy is a good content creator, there is nothing political about The Last of Us 2, people like The Quartering who obsess over Brie Larson and Kathleen Kennedy are fucking stupid and have flimsy justifications, and people who whine about "wokeness" and "teh gay agenda" in media are stupid. The thing that kinda irks me about this post though, aside from poisoning the well by calling people who don't like him a "hate cult", is that it assumes disagreement or dislike for Jerry is unfounded or unreasonable, and founded upon being salty that he said our favorite things are bad.
It's funny though, Jerry, I don't watch or play anything you prominently criticize, and while you don't like some things
I like, like Persona or Fire Emblem or The Witcher or Final Fantasy for absurd reasons, you don't see me bringing it up all the time! Weird, that! It's almost as if I know there are elements of those things that I

Maybe the videos will hypnotize you into becoming a fan of his? Like, what is he saying? Criticizing his posts doesn't count, you can only criticize him if you watch his videos, but you can't watch his videos and dislike them? I mean, it's not like he shares his opinions exclusively on his Youtube channel, that's why a lot of us here focus on his Tumblr posts. Not to mention the things he does to people like Lizzy and Josh have nothing to do with his content.

I know this got rambly and is likely all over the place, so TLDR Jerry thinks it's impossible to dislike him if you actually watch his videos, as if what he says in them is radically different from what he says on Tumblr, and as if it takes away from the shitty things he does to people.
