I don't know to what extent the forum's history is discussed, but if the knowledge were more widespread, more people would know how absurd "goodbye forever see you on my other socials" threads actually are. The stakes around our current displacement are higher, but the root of the problem is nothing new.

Kiwi Farms is the longest living version of this forum and it was founded in 2013, but it only exists because other versions of the CWCki Forums kept getting taken down. Between 2011 and 2012, the admin had to set up a mailing list to keep everyone up to date on new hosting plans because of how often we were deplatformed. Some reboots of the forum barely lasted a handful of weeks before we had to move on. It was a smaller, more intimate community back then, but everyone was just as adamant about keeping the website alive as we are today. The forum has always been home to a userbase of cockroaches, both in the sense that most people think we're nasty, and also in the sense that nothing can get rid of us. If you're still on here because you've bothered to follow the Telegram channel and then went out of your way to use Tor, you're part of the reason we'll stick around.

There will always be a Kiwi Farms as long as people keep being ridiculous on the internet and someone wants to talk about it. We'll keep figuring out workarounds because we're just that autistic.

I've gotta ask though, how come certain pages have completely broken formatting? This page and a couple others load like a WIP site, while others have the standard KF format.

This page is one of the ones that is completely fucky for me.

The troons can laugh and say that the number went from 5000 online to 500 online, but it went from 5000 miscellaneous users to 500 dedicated people who absolutely hate them.

As far as a message board goes 500 active, good contributing users is way better than 5000 people logged in just because. If you can't figure out the TOR link you're probably not the kind of person who should be on a forum.

If total userbase determined quality platforms, twitter wouldn't be a cesspool.

Tor is slow, and sometimes packets get dropped and assets don't load. Sometimes nodes fail to build a circuit to the service properly. Sometimes it's all good. But the good thing is that KF is still here.

Personally, this takes me back to the days of visitng the old forums about freight trains and uniden scanners over a dial up connection. Crawling image load speeds, sometimes fucky css, but still going.

I dunno about the rest of you, but I sort of just left some tabs open with KF on them. I would assume that counts as "logged in". The TOR browser likes to log you out a little more often. If it has to be like this for a while, word will spread. If the hosting gets pulled, that will be a longer-term problem. I do worry about Jersh and the fact that he still needs to eat; this site is his lifeline. Hopefully those MATI superchats keep coming in, but what are the chances YouTube lets him go live on Friday after this? Hell, even the Odysee people might cave.

The media's honestly been a way bigger problem than the twitter trannies. I did a basic Google search and the volume of bullshit is seriously intense; this is likely hitting the mainstream. Just as with other times the media has reported on something I am intimately familiar with, it's about 10% basic information and 90% total bullshit. It is frankly shocking that these outlets are still considered media with how much they either a) don't know or b) lie. I honestly think that most "journalists" just hang out on Twitter all day picking up whatever the biggest "story" is.

00s LJ drama was absolutely wild compared to the shit you see on here, yet somehow we're far more reviled for merely existing than people who laughed at lj drama back then.
