We'll know within a few days. If Biden is still running in a week, then they decided to stick with him.
Personally, I think they'll push Kamala, simply so they can access the campaign warchest, and probably have Gretchen Whitmer as her VP nod. Hell, if they pay Kamala enough, we might even see her then drop out, so Whitmer can be top of the ticket and keep access to the campaign donations.
Whatever happens, it'll be very soon. I fully expect that if they do switch Biden out with someone else, Trump will immediately announce his VP nod to eat up attention from Whitmer or whoever they go with. He's very good at stealing the spotlight when he needs to.
Maybe my memory is shitty but why did they choose Biden in the first place?
Most likely because they didn't trust the fraud in 2020 would carry them, or they were worried about being caught (some stuff was caught in Texas, an illegal ballot harvesting program by Dem operatives stealing ballots from senior citizens at nursing homes) and decided that Biden was of so little value he was worth being a potential sacrificial lamb if they did get caught.
They didn't want to waste someone with a potential future career, which is why all of those people dropped out all together and endorsed Biden.
My parents, especially my Dad, think that she just has presidential aspirations now
If Big Mike had any aspirations, she'd have spent the last 8 years setting up a run. She's not ran for senate or any other office, unlike Hillary, and she's not even been campaigning this cycle with Obama as he tries to drag Biden along. She's done nothing to indicate she has any political aspirations at all.
