Last time I checked I myself was the topic. I'm backing a very promising kickstarter. The guy behind came to me for another he was working on that didn't work out. All I can tell you is that along with his new doc and NES game, he's also working on something similar to NES Rom Maker.

He and I actually figured out how to make it work, and he's been in the gaming industry for years. They make special software tools(gaming engines) new ones almost everyday for whatever game is slated for production. I tooled that if he made a gaming engine that used code he and others are familier with that limits the developer to the specs of the NES, do them as say PC games instead of NES roms then in theory they could be ported to the NES without loss of playability.

no, talking about how awful you are is the topic.

Or you could just make a PC game with retro graphics and none of the limitations of the actual NES hardware. I'd make a game about a specops marine commander with an extreme appreciation and respect for wolves, weed, gaming, and parkour.

I've said it before, but here goes: This "NES ROM Maker" idea of yours is unfortunately a pipe dream.

Well Joe Granato told me that too after I told him about it. He said he worked in the industry for years and never saw gaming code that was so complex when he saw NES code on his youtube channel. I told him that if he did it throw the PC Game route it would be a good alternative and he agreed. He just needs to get his kickstarter fully funded.

Still don't buy it. It's a subject you enjoy, mazels. I just don't see how it's relevant to the thread besides you like it.

Still waiting for the Christmas arson movie done by 340 artists.

I never said 340 artists for a movie I said 25 to 30 artists for a reading of 'twas the night before Christmas.

Joe, you should listen to this guy. A PC game is much easier to market then a game for a console that's been cancelled for 20 years, and Yoyo Games' Gamemaker would actually make it possible for you to make an 8-bit styled PC game if you're willing to put in the work and not just post in forums trying to talk someone into doing the work for you.

I just got through reading the other pages of this thread.

Joe, lemme be completely honest when I say you are the most oblivious man on the planet.

You do whatever the hell you want, because you're not gonna take no for an answer anyway, and I'm not about to get in the way of a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Tell me, what are your thoughts on making handheld consoles?

Dude that sounds like a super chill game. Don't just give away good ideas like that.

Oh, I've got a ton more where that came from. I'm working on one where you save dead rappers by downloading Nickelback albums and playing Runescape. Another one is a bodyguard simulator where you need to protect random female NPCs in sandbox games from Anita Sarkeesian.

Joe "I can do it with the push of a button" Cracker hard at work.

Ah yes, I remember Joe's idiotic attempt at policing the internet. He's still clinging to the idea, although he's the only one taking it seriously. He wants another officer to decide whether the "police" need to "investigate." No investigation will happen, since Joe stated that he wants another officer to decide, and there are no other officers. Be careful, he might issue a judgment call requesting that someone be "permeability banned!"

Thanks. I used to follow the OfP's activities until the Chief of police decided I shouldn't have access to the forums. It's distressing to know that he hadn't given up on even this, the worst of his terrible ideas.

He's shut off posting rights to most of the subforums, but they're still readable provided your IP address isn't blocked. I'm honestly surprised that the current activities of the OFP are anything other than pestering the same anime forum staff.

Also, he's not the chief of police. If you look at his shoddy MSPaint badge, you'll see that he's actually the "cheif" as of the year 2O10.

There should have been an OFP long before I made that.

I really came here to tell you guys that 'twas the night before Christmas will have to wait until next year, I've encountered another problem with my PC and I need to replace it entirely. I need some cash for a Mac Mini, I went on go fund me to get it. http://www.gofundme.com/fuj55k

lol good luck with that. What happens if you can't get the money required?

A Joe Cracker project running behind schedule? Well, I suppose there's a first time for everything.
