It is strange when I get a computer that doesn't work with my camera, I just get the nessary FireWire adapter and on two PC's it worked. I just don't know what is going wrong.
No, you don't know what is going wrong, and you never have.

We told you that you hadn't adequately diagnosed the problem with your old pc, and you didn't listen.

We told you that buying s new pc wouldn't fix your issues, and you didn't listen.

Now you're coming to us to fix your situation again, @Joe_Cracker , and we have no reason to help you, because past experience has shown you will not listen.

Guess you're fucked then! You don't have anyone to blame but yourself because you wouldn't listen.

@Joe_Cracker
After wasting $1.99 and about an hour's time I have to say that the issues you're having must be Gods way of telling you that you don't need to be making movies. You didn't even care enough about it to run your credits list and warnings through spell check. Dialog gets cut off by the wind. None of your family are actor material. At this moment I don't know who is more delusional, you or The Golden Knight.
Your dad at least looks like a cool dude, and I'd smoke cigars with him at least.

I need that camera to connect properly in order to make a movie. I spent 2 and 1/2 hours on the phone with both Canon and Apple and the guy at Apple says he's going to look for a third party platform that will get me back in business.

why not just buy either a new computer or new camera?

We know. That doesn't change the fact that you wouldn't listen to advice given to you prior to your purchase, and that lack of listening is the reason for your current frustration.

The guys at Canon and Apple customer support clearly don't get paid enough.

Maybe you should have at least looked to see if your camera was compatible before you bought a whole new computer.

Your camera could connect to your previous computer and you weren't making movies then. A new computer isn't going to fix the biggest problem of all, namely the fact that you are incompetent.

I am still waiting for the "NES Rom Maker".

WTF happened to that?

you could at least say thank you for him wasting 1.99 on you
No worries. I had a weird dream Sunday that Joe gave up and I bought the rights to Unknown Creature. I wanted to see if that was worth pursuing in reality. It's not.

This is why I take care of my equipment. If I outgrow, not break my existing machine and I have a piece of equipment not compatible with the new machine, I still have the old one to keep using it until I can upgrade to a compatible version.

I'd also like to point out that there are plenty of (as in a vast majority) production companies and design studios who use Windows based machines and have no Malware problems whatsoever. And I'm a Macfag.

To sum it up for the 100th+ time, all of the problems you have are on you. You obviously don't browse responsibly, you fall for scareware, you don't take care of your hardware, you don't know how to fix anything on your own and come to your trolls to fix it/buy you a new one for you and you don't do any research before making a decision as well as ignore good advice against it.
