From what I've been told, they haven't made their "employees" pay for the demo kits for about a decade, but they're technically leasing them, so they have to return them if they ever quit. One of my fraternity brothers joined up when we were in undergrad, had a bunch of us sign sheets saying he did a demo for us (he didn't), got a total of like $600 (not sure if he actually sold anything) from the demos, then quit. His "manager" was pissed lol.
Knifey Ng apparently used to work for Dream Center, which is a California-based nonprofit that nearly went under when it bought The Art Institutes and several other scammy for-profit colleges a few years ago. Considering that one usually has to shill a bunch of knives to move up in Vector/Cutco, she may be just as much of a scammer as Tampon Johnny.
