Meowmix says JYS told the judge he wants to go to trial, which is triggered by a plea of not guilty. Meowmix reports JYS was given 5 weeks to find a lawyer, so generally that would mean that the plea of guilty or not guilty has been reserved, and JYS will enter a plea once he has had time to find legal council

So by my read of what likely happened, the judge told JYS to return with a lawyer in 5 weeks before pleading to the charges.

It would be helpful if someone who was there could clarify.

This is interesting. Some of us that work on MeowMix were privately speculating that this was exactly what happened but it didn't really go anywhere. It was more casual banter than actual guesses.

After watching him back out of the courthouse parking space in the rental Ford Fiesta twice last week I realized that he doesn't look behind himself properly. Camera only.

Wait, back up. That Rebel reporter said the psychiatric report diagnosed him with “BPD, gender dysphoria and post transition”.
WTF does it mean to be diagnosed with post transition? Especially for someone who hasn’t done anything to “transition” apart from putting on a dress?

Yeah, I found that odd as well. Maybe the report just noted that he had already started transitioning or was "post-transition" in the sense that he openly ID's as a woman, and that was just the reporter's or judge's strange way of conveying the info.

That reporter is likely mis speaking, I suspect she means “traumatic“, as in PTSD. She frequently mispronounces “ big” words, and often sounds like she’s been scripted whilst not being familiar with the terms. Or she’s nervous, or not well read. Or she’s a bit thick. It’s Rebel, so, take your pick.
