Years ago, there was a Bell issue and the 911 system was going off everyday for about 4 days in my neighborhood. The first incident appeared to come from my house and the police showed up. They had called but we worked nights and were sleeping. My husband went to the door and told them we didn't call, we were safe, yada, yada. They knew I lived there and asked to speak to me. He said that I am asleep and he doesn't want to wake me. They insisted to the point of threatening to search for me themselves if I didn't present myself. Apparently, they were checking that I didn't call because of domestic violence or whatever and I wasn't being kept from talking to the police. So I had to drag my ass out of bed, get dressed and present myself. It was a couple days before they figured out that Bell issues were causing the appearance of 911 calls.
My point is that they were not leaving until they knew I was safe. If Miriam called 911 and Jon called back to say, "No, we don't need you", they would need to investigate. MY not answering her phone and JY not letting them talk to her (hearing issues or not), would be a big red flag.
Of course, this could have all been avoided by not calling 911 multiple times a day. I may have called 911 2 or 3 times in my entire life. I couldn't even imagine calling on the daily for "lift assistance". What an entitled twat waffle.

It's entirely obvious that he staged this whole thing as retaliation for the letter.
Anxiety, PTSD & the rest? I think he may have himself committed to avoid court.
In the states, if one signs in voluntarily they can also check themselves out unless there is a clear reason to detain them.

If he says he's gonna charge them, then he has to file police reports.
