No question that Yaniv will try to blackmail the photog if he doesn't get the full amount fundraised (and even if he does, he'll keep the money and blackmail her for the files/prints). He'll offer his "social media reputation services," fill up review sites with glowing positivity, and then start threatening her with negative publicity. His bag of tricks is extremely limited. There are free efax services. Yeah, worth a try given that Yaniv is actually (this time) suing the beautician's lawyers plus Murphy plus Shepherd. Would be interesting to hear his argument.

Looks to me like Yaniv can file his Tribunal appeal as "X" because that's how he was identified in the Tribunal decision he's appealing, something analogous to using "Jane Roe" for Norma McCorvey in the U.S. abortion rights case Roe v Wade.

In the British Columbia provincial court system, "supreme" means "upper trial court" rather than "highest of all courts." Certain types of cases begin at this upper level rather than at the lower BC Provincial Court level, sort of like in the U.S. where high-dollar civil cases begin in a court above the Judge Judy small claims level and felonies begin in courts above those that hear misdemeanors and traffic offenses.

Cases that begin at the BC Supreme Court level include judicial review of Tribunal adjudicators' decisions, which is why Yaniv filed one of his cases there. It's also in the BC Supreme Court that civil cases seeking more than $50k begin along with libel and slander cases.

(The BC Supreme Court also hears major criminal cases and appeals of decisions made by the lower level BC Provincial Courts, which hear lesser criminal and civil cases and also conduct preliminary hearings for BC Supreme Court cases. The BC Provincial Courts have no jurisdiction over Tribunal decisions.)

The highest court in the province is called the BC Court of Appeals. It hears challenges to BC Supreme Court decisions. If Yaniv is not satisfied with the BC Supreme Court's judicial review of his Tribunal case, this is where he can go next. The BC Court of Appeals' decisions can be challenged in the Canadian Supreme Court.

It's also my understanding that they are very selective in the cases they hear and only see between 50-70 a year. It's possible JY has filed, but it will be years before it goes anywhere.

The last time he went up against JCCF, he withdrew his claim as soon as he realized they had traction with how they were identifying as both male/female to suit their needs depending on the day. I don't think this is going to go well for JY.

I also looked up JY's name on CSO, in all seriousness do they have a job? It really seems like their sole income comes from suing people.

$3300 for a photo gallery? I don't like to tell people how to spend their money, but if people donate to this campaign that basically amounts to JY getting some professionally done FB pictures that make him slightly less hideous, they deserve to be publicly outed so everyone in the province can laugh at them and throw rotten food at them. The episode with fumes in his mother's apartment building (which he acknowledges his mother didn't smell) and the sage smoke at the theater have the same story arc.

A stressy situation. (In one case, he says he's visiting his dog - not his mom whom he's complained about elsewhere isn't supportive of him. In the other, he's waiting to give a presentation.)

Sniffs a whiff of something that isn't bothering anybody else. Reeeeeees about not being able to breathe. Rampages into another part of the building seeking fresh air.

Encounters indifferent employees who don't try to save his life or cosset his fee fees. Goes home to spend days filing complaints. Further indifference follows.

Sues to demonstrate his rightful command of state power. Judge tells him to fuck off. Rinse. Repeat.

In both cases, POC were involved: the sage burners and the building employee at his mother's place, something he feels he must tell the court, like it will help his case. The one advancement is that by the time he sued his mother's building management company, he'd learned to claim oppression by reason of trooniness.

3300 is an awful LOT for a photo set, in my experience. Either he got a very very good photographer or he did some experimental shots that the studio was willing to comp him a couple of photos for because they wanted to try out a new location or technique.

Either that or he looked a total prat in the pics, so they set the price very high because they don’t actually want to be associated with him and are hoping he won’t be able to afford and release the set with their name on it.

Edit: oh hell, how could i forget the other angle that others have pointed out? A photo studio tells some poor punter “you’re so gorgeous, you could be a PROFESSIONAL MODEL, so brave, just buy these headshot packages, everyone in the industry uses them, these are the normal price” and then scams them for thousands.

I even knew a silly vain girl when I was at university who fell for being “discovered” while out shopping. They had her pegged for a vain idiot the same way this studio had Jonathan pegged, I’ll bet.

Apologize if this already has been discussed, but do we know anything about some rich relatives/family or at least somewhat well off? I mean knowing how many crazy trannies are dependant on tugboat and shit, but still just suing like this wont work in the long time.
