High-end salons charge way more than that. Am I the only one who remembers John Edwards' infamous $400 hair cut? Surprising he could afford that while shelling out for his love child.

Regardless of the price, salons probably should get with the times and start charging for long hair/short hair cuts, basic/fashion cuts, etc. instead of charging by men's/women's. I'd like to think that if a woman goes to a barber or salon and asks for a men's cut, they'd charge her the men's price, but I've dealt with enough stupid/greedy small-business owners, that I kind of doubt most would do that. More likely they'd charge her the women's price, cheating her out of a chunk of change and losing a customer forever.
