I always wondered about that line. Unlike the Beatles', the Stones' lyrics were NOT mostly gibberish, but this one I still haven't quite figured out.

They want to respect the feelings of trans peeps. Great. What about respecting the feelings of people who believe that words and truth matter? What about respecting the "rights" of people who don't want to be forced to help these people publicly masturbate via participation in their live action role-playing game? Trying to force me to call a boy a girl is disrespecting me, it is hurtful to me, and it is also frankly rather rapey. Hard pass.

It's probably a reference to the Thugee cult which allegedly killed travelers and stole their stuff for the greater glory of Kali, goddess of lulz. Note that the Meow Mix policy isn't dictating what anyone else must use for terminology. Call Jonny what he is - a male. But for blog posts on the site we're going to try this for a minute, at least to respect other trans people.
If this becomes a major point of contention we'll look at it again. I think it was a good intentioned idea for a problem that has no possible solution to make everyone happy.

No, you are doing the right thing. When you misgender him, you make it seem like this is an anti-trans situation, rather than an anti-Yaniv situation.

I get where you're coming from, but it's important to call a spade a spade. Yaniv is a sexual predator claiming a minority identity in order to seek victims and dodge responsibility. Calling him a "her" only legitimizes his claims. Nothing about Yaniv is legitimate. He's lied about everything and anything; he seeks attention to a pathological degree. Even the police aren't responding to his calls in a timely manner anymore. There are actual consequences for trans people because of Yaniv and predators like him. Trans people should be mad as hell that this fat fuck fraud is using their identity under false pretenses in a way that casts a bad light on the entire community. Getting mad at someone for "misgendering" him is blindingly ignorant at best and malicious redirection at worst.

The issue is not that Yaniv is or isn't a trans person, the issue is that he's a sexual predator, as you say. Misgendering him (as I'm doing, but I know where I am posting and know no one gives a shit) makes it easy for him to point out at us and say "They are anti-trans! They hate trans people! That's why they say I'm a deviant!" The whole "trans-woman is a sexual predator" is a popular refrain that is seated in some truth, as we see here, but the majority of trans women are just trying to live. Yaniv knows he can use his transness as a shield and everytime he is misgendered by we add ammunition for him to use against his critics. By calling him a she, he can't use that to discredit people who are calling him out for the piece of shit he is.

On the other hand by calling him "he" (which he is), we can call attention to the fact that the emperor they are all worshiping has no clothes. The evil inherent in Trooness goes way beyond JY. If we can use him to set back the AGP Nazi brigade we should do so. Rub it in their faces--make THEM defend Yaniv as a "she." We might be able to make SJW's little heads explode like that malevolent robot did in that original Star Trek episode when Kirk put it into a logical paradox.

In my own view, there are real, actual trans people, who, for whatever reason, have decided to alter their gender so as to feel more comfortable in their own body. Some have actual medical issues/reasons for opting to alter their gender. They are forced to make some very difficult and challenging life decisions, and have a very hard path to follow in life. And then there's the other group. They are comprised of the gender cosplyers who are not really trans, but crossdressers trying to push their weird fetishes into the public space and demanding the public see them as being "normal." The first group I can have empathy for. The gender-trender cosplayers I do not. Much of the time they seem to get off on shock value and mental powerplays that come from inserting their weirdness into the public sphere, and if they can gain fame or money from their fetish, all they better. They are, by and large, not good or honest people. Yaniv is clearly in this second group, and I will not dignify him with his preferred pronouns since it's all made up and he is not actually trans anyway.

Cosplay trans people are like furries in two regards. One, many have weird sex fetishes they want to "normalize," and two (and more importantly), they would not be nearly as big a thing if it were not for social media and the Internet in general.

That's just my two cents which nobody asked for, but there it is anyway.

Then all we're talking about is the validity of his trans identity, instead of the fact he is a sexual predator. I.E. exactly what he wants and exactly why he is hiding behind his "trans identity".

We discussed this today and modified the policy.

We're going to strive to use correct pronouns, etc for everyone EXCEPT Yaniv. He simply doesn't deserve that respect or validation.
