Everyone saying he's Jewish...Has anyone bothered to ask him what he IDs as?

Probably the latter. Yaniv Sr. had three kids with his first wife Ahuva. One is a teacher in Langley married to another teacher. One is an educational assistant, which isn’t a high flying job but it’s a job and miles ahead of anything Yaniv Jr. does. He’s also an artist. I don’t know what the girl does. They were all married when Ahuva died in 2015, and had three kids among them. ETA: his half sister is the manager of a small museum in the east part of the province.

I tend to agree, that Miriam’s genetics probably contributed to her boy’s overall makeup. Among other… things.

IIRC Yitzhak and Miriam were both pretty old when Miriam shat out little Jonny. Older mothers and fathers tend to have more kids with defects. CWC is a fantastic example of this in practice.

Miriam is fucked up in her own right though, and I don't just mean the hereditary deafness that runs in a lot of Jewish families.

Yanny is a very hit or miss type of cow--or maybe "feast or famine" would be a better way to put it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who found kiwi farms solely because of Yanny, only to have (more than once) been lulled almost to sleep by one of his hiatuses from entertaining us, only to be "lol-ed" right back to life by one of his periodic cow-spasms.
