ObGyn care is in very short supply in BC, and has been for a very long time. It often takes until 20ish weeks gestation to get seen for a pregnancy. There's a concerted effort on the part of the government to shuffle lower risk pregnant women to the cheaper midwife and family doctor care right through birth. A lot of the basic stuff that American women have done by the gyn is done by a family doctor, like pap smears and birth control prescriptions.

The logical place to get post-transition care is from the surgeon who did it or someone who works with the trans specialty team . . . like the people who said he might need a bit more psych help and so he decided to sue them. There are agencies that literally maintain lists of doctors who work with/want to work with/specialise in post-op trans care, but the likelihood of being able to see one now is going to be slim. In fact, Yaniv is completely unable to maintain good relationships with any doctors, which is why despite having nothing to do but seek medical care he continues to show up at the ER or Telehealth.

His MO seems to be to call up a Telehealth service, get a recommendation forwarded to a random obgyn, and then cry online when the obgyn's cranky secretary bounces it.

Yes, just wanted to clarify for the Americans that what Jonny is looking for here is a specialist, not even something women need that often. And if they do need them it's a trial to get in. Hmm, should I take the thirty-something lady with the highly concerning ovarian ultrasound, or should I take the litigious person who let his own anatomy rot off in the bathtub?

Yaniv really doesn't want a family doctor, not that he could get another one. I'm sure he prefers going to these inexperienced hired guns on Telehealth and just getting whatever referral he wants.

As is the case, generally, in the UK... the first port of call if a pregnancy test is needed, if not bought over the counter or for that result to be confirmed is the GP. Pregnancy care (from what I can remember) is down to your GP with the occasional visit to a hospital for the likes of scans and obviously as the delivery date draws near. GP's surgeries do cervical smears, same with contraception etc - they or their surgery nurses at most.

To me, that just reads like a common or garden clerical/secretarial job albeit in a legal environment.

Speaking in my function as a sometimes hiring manager:

Nobody in their right mind would hire Jon after having performed a 5min internet search: Not as a paralegal, not as a clerical assistant, not as a marketing person and also not as anything else.

Qualifications don't even enter the picture here. Nor do trans/disability/whatever the grift of the day happens to be. Here's how I'd "read" JY if the resumé were lying on my own desk:

1. Applicant is litigious AF and seems to be insisting on letting the entire internet know about it. Conclusion: do not hire - not unless you want your business' name associated with whatever this person tweets on any given day!
2. Applicant has a track record of posting racist shit publicly. Conclusion: do not hire - not overly interested in having a nice "chat" about company policy with applicant and HR in my role as line manager!
3. Applicant has a weapons charge and, generally, seems volatile. Conclusion: don't touch with a barge pole! I don't want to get hurt at work!!!
4. Etc. - you all know!

Long story short: Jon has made himself plenty unemployable without the question of discrimination ever entering the picture.

He's been looking for work, supposedly, since BCHRT and look how well that's gone for him. He's already found his "salary", courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer.

I get the feeling that he's trying to ingratiate himself with these lawyers simply as a means to use their names etc to back up his legal threats akin to using the Twitter co-founder Jack pic to try and scare Twitter folks off. He's tried the same tactics with Devyn and the RCMP. I can only imagine how "powerful" he'd feel hiding behind someone's name if ever taken on by some law firm.

You'd seriously have to question the morality of any firm that takes him on, no business from me. Getting a diploma or whatever won't wipe his obnoxious behaviour clean.
