I'm thinking that a criminal record may cause some problems with getting a Possession and Acquisition License, especially if they are for a violent crime. Any legal types able to weigh in on that?

There's no way he'd get his firearm's license. They expanded background checks to include "a history of harassment, whether the applicant was ever subject to a restraining order, and whether the applicant poses a risk of harm to any person."

Basically, Yaniv is exactly the person they wanted to exclude when they tightened the regulations last year.

No, not really. Considering his behaviour, he's fucked in prison, no matter which one he goes to. Nobody likes Drama Queens, now imagine you're a more violent fellow, stuck in a cell with this lardwhale who won't just shut the fuck up. Even before some officer "accidentally" lets this information slide, odds are he will be in trouble for acting like he always does. He'll see he isn't at all a tough guy when meeting the fine folk in prison, people stuck there won't take any of his horseshit!

On to the news at hand, all I can say is fucking finally. Fucker made international headlines for being a creep, and that's years ago, kept acting like a pile of horseshit and never backed down as nothing of true consequences came from his behaviour. Truth be told, I was having a shit day until reading these news, glad to see some justice happening!

It's pretty common in the U.S., especially in larger cities, for any 911 emergency call to get police, EMTs and the FD. Some particularly large cities even have something called a "mobile precinct" which is literally a police department in a large van that shows up at your house.

It also could be that this guy is just on a list of potentially dangerous nutjobs and they respond that way to any call he makes because he does things like make up crimes and attack people. They probably want as many witnesses as possible to his fuckery.

They have an internal dispatch flag that flags certain addresses or locales to require an automatic police response when dispatching fire or ems. Ems in particular is instructed not to enter without police on scene. It's very common. Abandoned properties and crack houses get flagged. Known trouble spots. Litigous assholes that you want a third party witness with a bodycam etc.

He's even stupid enough to lie and accuse someone of doing the assaulting when I'm assuming there was at least one witness (reportedly someone broke up yaniv's assault)...and expect to get away with it. Reminds me of when he was on the phone to the police accusing Bexte(?) of running him down with his car when it was all on video showing him and the old trout blocking the car's exit.
