I picture it being on a similar level of horrifying as a hypothetical incarceration picture taken of Michael Jackson, had he actually been sentenced to prison in the early 2000s.

He was deeply insecure about his appearance, and spent a lot of time and money daily on hair/wig/skin treatments, makeup, even special lighting for interviews. Being in prison without access to those things, you can bet that a year (hell, a month) in, he would’ve looked like a Chernobyl radiation victim.

Well that might be what JY wanted. There was a minority working in his building and he wanted her gone, and the cleaning company transferred her as a result. From his perspective he probably thinks that he was successful in getting this brown person out of his sight. He's not even racist in a funny 4chan way, so this is inexcusable.

But what I was commenting on was the dude freaking out for poor ladies living alone in a large apartment complex having someone be able to find out their name, when for literally decades I could look up your exact address and phone number, of your detached house that isn't surrounded by paperthin walls connected to dozens of people. And keep in mind to his concern, to request said list you need to be a resident of the building. If I'm a resident of the building I can just grab a chair and sit in the hallway and see who comes out of what door. I don't need your name to know where you live and commence the rapin'. Most communal buildings also have buzzer systems with full names on it. And while they don't necessarily link the room number to a person....you can still see names.

Not sure how it works in Canada but here in the UK (I'm going back a few years) you would have to know a person's surname and a rough estimate of where they live in order to look up their tel. no and full address in a directory same when ringing the likes of "Directory Enquiries"* so finding some random wasn’t easy. Sitting by your window doesn’t give you someone’s full name and tel no. either does it? We all know how he likes to harass folks via the telephone and how he thinks himself as a master of comedy with his prank calls.

For the admittedly little that it's worth, the books on the not-criminally-responsible plea changed based on that guy alone.

I think there is a pretty distinct reason why Yaniv got away with so much before this point - no prosecutor wants to be the one known to hold a troon's feet to the fire. While needlessly obnoxious, the outside observer could be forgiven for not immediately finding anything that would actively hurt anyone from his behavior. At the same time, the Dominion of Canada recalls enough of its days as an English colony to make sure that it punishes people who make the government's job harder than it needs to be.
