The driver is not allowed to ask for documentation upon entering the bus, but can ask if it’s a service animal.
If this animal isn’t well behaved (ie. obviously not certified), the driver IS allowed to ask for documentation, but because it’s BC the person with the animal can claim it’s uncertified.
This doesn’t mean they can’t be asked to leave if the animal continues to be a problem.

A badly behaved dog is a badly behaved dog and people are quite within their rights to kick up a fuss. I could be wrong but I vaguely remember reading that proof can definitely be asked for if the "handler" is claiming it being certified whilst the dog is being aggressive / a nuisance etc.
