"Where the fuck does he get all of the money to survive all of these court cases?" [Quotes not working for me today]
Yaniv's often gotten the courts to waive fees by claiming indigency even when he's been in rich-bitch phase. Courts have also repeatedly spared him from paying the costs of the court and defense counsel when he's lost cases.
More generally, he's good at finding and harvesting government bennies, down to payments to cover dog food since the dog's a "service" animal needed by a "disabled" person. Plus there's Aunt Ilana, the near-invisible even-more-deaf younger sister of Miriam. She's not monied, but draws benefits and pays half of Miriam's strata mortgage, freeing up Miriam to pay for more of Yaniv's crises.
The family that swindles together.... ummm.... swindles a lot. Or something.
ETA: Yaniv was taught that.
Back when he, Miriam, Jack, and Ilana all lived together in a townhouse elsewhere in suburban Vancouver, Miriam and Jack were always busy mining for bennies and insurance payments. They were entitled to special glass in their windows because the sisters are deaf, etc. Never a big cash-out. Just constantly demanding to be paid for existing.
