The official background check system would say yaniv has a clean record (because he hasn't been caught yet). I have no idea if they are required to google people or not, but there is a chance that the school administrator in charge of these things is old and not internet savvy and only checks for convictions. There also might be some legal issues with denying people volunteer positions without any convictions when they are in a protected minority class like yaniv, if he tried to sue for being turned away he would most certainly lose but it would still cost the school a shitload of money to defend themselves. Some dipshit might buy yaniv's sob stories too if they are an SJW type and also very stupid.

I may be incorrect about this, but it seems like the only time we directly saw him in a medical setting was when he overdosed on his diet drug. He definitely lies about his suicide attempts ('several times this month'? and you aren't dead, maimed, or hospitalized? yeah right ), it would be nothing for him to lie about having gone to the hospital. Colt in the La Zorra forum verifiably used the psych er as a place to crash out of convenience, and she generally got stuck in there for a day or two & waited a long time for the initial intake to be completed. That's my experience working in emergency rooms in various cities as well, parts of the process are inherently slow and time consuming for psych patients, so I am pretty sure jon is totally full of shit.

With the Human Rights Tribunal available in BC as a remedy-seeking body, JY could easily file a complaint with the tribunal alleging anti-trans discrimination. Even if the claim is completely false and there is enough evidence to refute such a claim, these tribunals seem to side with the complainant whereas the respondent has to expend time, effort, and money to defend itself despite the barriers these tribunals put up to allowing any kind of decent or meaningful defense.

I'll echo the comments of those that have already discussed how (criminal) background checks only return any prior convictions and such. Someone could be doing all kinds of bad stuff behind the scenes and still pass a background check if they don't have any type of conviction record. While internet searches could bring up content calling one's character into question, it would also return content that make totally false claims - claims often difficult to distinguish from the truth.

I imagine the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has some sort of provision for people to address the government with concerns similar to the US Constitution's First Amendment. So the council likely has to give JY the same speaking time as citizens with more legitimate issues and concerns.

Langley council might be obligated to hear him but they're not obligated to institute any of his ideas.

The council definitely has no obligation to act favorably on JY's proposals. It wouldn't surprise me if many get deleted or ran through the paper shredder once JY speaks and the meeting ends for the night.

I have very little working knowledge of the US legal system and none of the Canadian legal system. Risk management/mitigation planning as well as medical releases and liability waivers in the US are in my wheelhouse. Maybe they are different in Canuckistan. Who knows, depending on how much of a protected class troons are in CA, advertising that you can't cater to them, no matter how subtly, might be grounds for discrimination. It seems like no matter what these salons do, John can haul them in front of a tribunal to make them waste time and money while he drags them through the mud. Imagine if he was a trustfund kiddie and had wads of cash to blow on real court.

For those metrically challenged, 961.3 meters / .9613 km is approximately 0.6 (3/5) of a mile. I'm trying to figure out how JY received such a precise measurement . I'd think most people would simply say something such as, "I adopted another kilometer of roadway."

I may have missed the previous adopt-a-highway discussion squeezed in between JY's more horrific posts, but I'm curious if JY is the sole adoptee of these roadway segments or if JY is part of a group. Given JY's fitness issues - and presumed usage of injectable weight loss medicine based on recent posts claiming an OD on such - I just can't see JY walking a km or more of roadway solo picking up trash and keeping it maintained.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is yet another example of slacktivism where people claim, "See, i'm doing something" when the reality is they aren't doing anything at all and just make the claim for show.
