The woman on twitter clearly states this is the third case being handled by the thus far incompetent lawyer from the JCCF. It's three different women, I don't think they're all Sikh, but they are all women of color born outside of Canada, which means Yaniv sticks his nose up at them.

Why do you say they are incompetent? The JCCF is the only organization willing to take these cases, they are extremely difficult to navigate legally because the HRT rules are so different from a real court. HRT Defendants usually cannot find attorneys that will take their cases because the lawyers aren't educated about the nature of the tribunals, or they fear for their reputation in the community for defending hateful bigots. The JCCF is trying everything they can think of, but the court already assumes guilt, and the "judge" acts as counsel for the plaintiff. The lawyer may not be able to get them the verdict they want, but at least the special needs immigrants don't have to go through this by themselves, or say something that would make the tribunal even angrier.

Thank you for speaking my point better than me. Mind you, I do think there are truly, genuine trans people that just wanna live normal lives, but until we can be critical of trans people the same way we are everyone else, it's not a great situation we're in.

We've gotten to the point that you can point at an abuser in the LGB spectrum and people will agree that it's the case, but we're still in a place right now where people don't want to admit that there are people who abuse what is a misguided attempt at being inclusive. I think things WILL even out, eventually, but right now both sides are too far up their own asses to have a rational conversation.

The problem is that people like Yaniv are the canaries in the coal mine of the dark side of that issue. So much effort has gone into bending over backwards to be inclusive that it's now provided the perfect shield for the most pernicious deviant to abuse because they figured out how to game the rules of said inclusivity attempt.

Unfortunately, for now, while the canary is pretty noticable, no one who has the power to do anything wants to dismantle the very crooked system that allows the deviant to abuse it because many of the same people who could profit off the same corrupt system themselves.

It's unlikely to ever be reformed until the disadvantages outweigh the advantages for the people like Cousineau who keep these kangaroo courts people like Yaniv can game to their advantage going.

The sad thing is that he already did legally change his name, and he ruined that name too.

He could have changed his name, stopped being confrontational on social media, stopped being so pervy at people, stopped being so litigious, and just quietly worked helping clients set up their WordPress blogs or whatever. He could have had a normal-ish life. Vancouver area is full of geeky queer folks; he could have worked to get along with people and fit into the Vancouver queer scene and I guarantee you that someone local (in the queer community, not the Sikh community) would have waxed his balls etc and maybe the queer community would have supported his business too.

Maybe his Cimorelli days antics would have just faded into obscurity as a lapse in judgement remembered by a select few people who only knew the old name anyways.

Was watching the stream and Josh was wondering what the fuck was wrong with Canada to allow any of this to happen. I think I can shed a little light, and maybe it's been mentioned but I really don't want to go through 500 pages of the shit show that is Jonathan.

I have to go off on a bit of a tangent first.

About 30 to 35 years the Federal Government of Canada suddenly and with no real strategy shut down all their mental institutions. Places where the mentally ill could be held involuntarily vanished overnight and suddenly much to everyone's shock, these people could not function in society and it became a torrent of homeless people Canada had never had to really deal with before since the Great Depression. Much like in the States, where do the homeless go? Do they want to be in Saskatchewan in the dead ass winter? Fuck no. Some of the hardcore ones would head to Toronto or other major eastern Canadian cities, but a majority would head west to British Columbia. The majority of those homeless ended up in Vancouver, leading to the creation of a huge skidrow in the downtown eastside.

Now initially the BC government was apathetic to them, because why would they care about the poor? Why would they be proactive?
But then two things happened: BC and Vancouver in particular became Hollywood North after a huge recession hit Canada in the 90's. Vancouver got flooded with a wave of wealthy investors from the States looking to make movies and series inexpensively (the Chinese wave would hit later but that's another shitstorm altogether) and then Vancouver got flooded again, but this time with cheap heroin for all the mentally ill people to enjoy.

These two extreme opposites forced the BC government to do something, and lo and behold social benefits skyrocketed and for decades BC has been at the front lines battling this homelessness and mental illness problem by covering their heads, and throwing money at it.

Now, enter Yanniv. I won't talk much about him. I'm still new to this dipshit, but between the BC's government becoming toothless after the Federal government ordered an end to mandatory institutionalization and all the benefits they throw out before looking. Yanniv is free to be like this and reap the financial and social benefits from the State.

As for his abuse of the human rights tribunal? BC and other provinces have these tribunals set up to help LGBT people and brown people, yes, but the main function for it's existence was dedicated to the First Nations people. People who actually have been fucked over in the past (Not US bad no matter how much they cry about it, but undeniably they have their issues). So Yanniv is not only draining financial resources, but he's placing strain on the court, and while he's .... whatever the fuck he is... a small issue, all these LGBT human rights complaints adds up and puts FN and the rest of Canada in more and more of a tense relationship.

I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything, but it's just something I've been thinking about as I walk down the streets I love and see mentally ill people screaming at each other and shitting in the street, because thanks to the the Chinese millionaire gentrification of Vancouver, the homeless are pushed out of the eastside in droves and spread out across the smaller cities and towns of BC. Canada is fucked and nothing short of shipping them all to the Arctic to colonize it before the Russians get there will help a country that I do love, (even if it means being a leaf)

Technically, Yaniv ranks quite low. But he's very good at throwing his weight around with just the 'trans' label. The second you got him into a real intersectional debate, he would fall flat on his ass - because being 'trans' is the only stick he has in the fight.

I say incompetent because, unless JCCF is trying to head to a real court, there's some shit they glossed over that were arguments even this shitstain of a court couldn't ignore. They only commented on the difference in waxing male/female genitals ONCE, which in this tribunal is likely the absolute strongest argument. Yaniv brings up their race, religion, his obvious hate? It makes him look fucking bad, already does. I don't think enough of the defense is focused around this because, what can Yaniv argue? He's admitted he's got a cock and balls. The argument isn't then religion vs gender, it's gender v SAFETY. It's for YANIV'S own good he was denied, kangaroo court or no, I doubt they'd go "you should've performed a service for which you have no formal training at all".

They aren't fighting the intersex thing enough. Does Yaniv have labia? Nobody asked, so focused on the internal that nobody bothered to fucking ask about the external sex characteristics that come with one. Yaniv literally cannot have both, so he'd be forced to admit he's only got his balls. If he tries to lie, I'd imagine it's cause to demand a non-invasive, non-internal medical opinion. He'd be a literal medical marvel if he had both sets of fully functional genitals.

The only way this isn't oversight and instead looking ahead is if the JCCF wants to take this to a REAL court.

I don't think this is true. I've met this man in person. The second he opens his mouth, even if you know nothing about him like I did, you just get that feeling that something really fucky is going on in his brain.
