I expect you're right. If you're really active on Twitter, and especially if you present yourself as a professional, it's not hard to accumulate lots of what I call "junk followers," given time. My own Twitter has been moribund since early 2017 (because that's when I finally decided Twitter is a fucking cancer), but still has around 6K followers--virtually none of whom I've ever interacted with, and who I am sure forgot all about me once they hit that "follow" button.I’m literally a 200 y/o decrepit Amish Luddite but I’m guessing maybe weird “follow for follow” tech losers and rando wannabes?
I'm sure he's picked up some hate followers, and that number is bound to grow, now that the spotlight is on him. But keep in mind that he's a narcissistic sociopath, and that the vast majority of his followers are barely even aware of his existence--and most have actually forgotten about it--is worse to him than having hate followers. At least the hate followers are paying attention to him, and he can feel powerful when he reports them.
These are the actions of extremely sensible and not at all mentally disturbed people. These are actions which affirm someone’s true gender, and do not in any way point to a persistent fetish at best, a debilitating mental illness at worst. These people deserve to have their rights considered above born women, brown people and everyone else.
Just to clarify, the third recording only has him calling in. I caught the replay of the concerned Vancouver woman calling in as it was segueing into Yaniv's second call.
