I just checked the MTA site and yes you can use a scooter but I've never seen a Jonathan scooty puff situation on a bus before. What are the chances that a bus that is half empty and has space for scooty puff? Jonathan wouldn't survive a bus ride loaded with local JHS/HS kids here.

I may be late to this, so my apologies if I am. As I've said before in another comment, I've a friend who lives in Van (not far from Jonny boy, actually) who was injured in a work related accident. They are physically disabled (not to the point of needing a scootscoot, but in some pain/dependent on canes for walking. They get a free transit pass as driving is a hard nope.

Either 1. Jonny has pulled the wool over a Doctor's eyes about le brain choomur or 1. He is lying about the free transit pass. My money is on the second, he is a habitual liar as we have repeatedly seen

Dude. Since you were a young person, the cost of housing here went up to 600 000 dollars. The one bedroom shithole of JY is worth over 300 000. You try working straight out of high school and see what kind of wage let's you buy a home and raise a family. The best you'll do is earn 15 bucks an hour. With rentals being over a thousand a month now good luck saving a 20 000 down payment unless you live with your family or a ton of room mates. If you go to college so you can double your wages, you can add student loan debt to your expenses for the next decade.

When you're a young person being told to grow up and buy a house and start a family, but you notice housing costs have gone up 10x while wages haven't, you start to assume that society as a whole is ok with an entire generation not affording housing and raising kids.

This is exactly the situation in Australia. Boomers chiding young wastrels for buying smashed avocado on toast when the reality is the only ones with a chance of securing housing ownership are those with a parent who owns their house outright and will help with a deposit, or has the decency to shuffle off this mortal coil.
