Hold on there a sec. If social isolation is bad for JY, wouldn't this logically imply that, before isolation, he was in, well ... not isolation? As in: people voluntarily interacted with him?

I'm going to have to come down on the side of "sceptical" on this one.

He's been socially isolated for years, the idiot just didn't realise it. He's had a lifetime of people being polite by acknowledging him, now they have a good excuse to totally blank him.

The other day I was looking to download some bots for the CD version of Half-Life 1, to play against on my XP shitbox. Came across something called Rho-Bot. Okay, sounds good...

BUT WAIT, actually, he didn't fucking write it, it turns out. It seems Yaniv took over the project page sometime in early 2007, per archive.org (https://web.archive.org/web/20070303073652/https://sourceforge.net/projects/rhobot/), then went on to say he developed it. However, the source hasn't been updated since 2002, and the credits page on the RhoBot site (http://rhobot.sourceforge.net/credits.shtml) doesn't list Yaniv anywhere. The source code also doesn't credit Yaniv anywhere in the comments. It was mostly developed by some guy named Eric Bieschke.

So it looks like Yaniv just took over an abandoned project and then took credit for it. Way to go.
