I personally think it's the early stages of his jailhouse religion setting in. It's common for people to turn to god when they're incarcerated. Some of the nastiest people on the street will suddenly become pious bible thumpers while on the mainline, then once released they return back to their old ways. My guess is that Yanny is legitimately scared about possible repercussions after being busted meeting up with a child. He's panicking about what might come, he's drinking too much alcohol, and he's having a fake 'come to jesus' moment (although he might actually be under the impression that his new interest in religion is genuine - but I can assure you it's just a reaction to fear and stress).The devil made him do it guys.
