Courts in B.C. are just getting going again. Criminal matters of a non-urgent nature won't be resuming until later this month, and there will be a back log to deal with.
For an assualt where the Crown is proceeding by Summary, we will probably have to wait until September at the earliest

He's never complained of joint pain or specifically of arthritis. But he has complained of nerve pain - back and leg - and asked a telemed doctor for an Rx for orthotics, which he said he'd worn until he was 12, meaning he was born with foot and gate problems that may cause him back and hip pain as he ages (and gets fatter).

Yaniv’s lower spine appears flattened, that is, to lack the normal curve of the lumbar region, in x-rays made in 2019. He says he’s often in pain from an injury to the L5/S1 lumbosacral joint that occurred when a massage table collapsed under his weight on 6/26/19 and was made worse when a reporter allegedly drove into him on 8/9/19. The various falls he’s had could have caused or contributed to the problem. Another contributing factor could be the over-supination of his feet, a congenital condition for which he wore orthotics until he was 12 and which is known to cause back and hip pain.

It occured to me, frankly just now, that at some point someone is the first to display prominent symptoms of a new disease, and it gets named after them.
JY is so unique in his personality disorder. Manic but fake depressive, Munchausen but afraid of treatment. Persecution complex, but overtly aggressive.
If he ever gets forced psychiatric treatment, there's some chance that he'll have is own entry in DSM-Whatever Version, "Yanive syndrome "
